Versace for H&M - Mission accomplished!
It seems like yesterday, but it's already a week ago that I was one of those crazy girls waiting in line at the H&M at 6.30 am. Do I regret it?
Well, I am in awe of the entire marketing machine around the H&M designer collaborations since the very beginning. And I wouldn't be writing this post if I wasn't into fashion. But I am not the kind of girl who would give up her time, sleep and work to queue in the cold and, even worse, fight for a designer item, especially if it isn't unique in the end. So it was my first time. Why did I do it? I did it for someone very special to me - probably Versace's biggest fan in Belgium - who asked me if I could do her a pleasure and get her a couple of dresses.
So I got up at 5.30 am and got there at 6.30 am. A freezing hour later, I got a bracelet, giving me access to the collection at 10.35 am.
Suddenly I had 3 hours to get breakfast and to check out the collection again online - setting priorities straight. And hey, while I was as at it, why not get something for myself too? :-)
So I waited until they called the group with the yellow bracelets and gave us acces for exactly 15 minutes and not a minute longer. I was surprised by how well everything was organized and bu how the chaos was limited to the minimum. Got the dresses, earrings for my colleague and fashion blogger Letilor and some stuff for myself.
And this was the result of my shopping matinee... Kinda proud of myself :-)
The most wanted earrings - looked like everybody wanted them - and they are pretty lovely actually :-) I hope Letilor will enjoy wearing them.

It's almost been four months since our latest post. So yes, we've been away for a long long time. We met new people, travelled to pretty amazing places, found new jobs and came across exciting challenges.
My pretty perfect Anne-Laure has got things going on pretty well - as talented as she is - all these amazing opportunities keep coming her way and I am so proud of her! Unfortunately, I will have to miss our lovely sunny afternoons eating, drinking, laughing and working on our photo shoots.
But my heart still beats for all things fashion, so until I meet a new pretty perfect make-up artist, I'll be on my own. Bringing you my latest buys, loves and looks. See you soon :-)
Make-up tip #4: Summer glow
I have already mentioned it more than once and you probably wondered how the f* does she do that?
So finally here it is: the secret about this summer glow effect or as some of us make-up artists like to call it "the J-Lo glow". You know what I mean, right?
What do you need?
1. Foundation (Choose "Face and Body" - very light and with a natural finish - it's like a second skin!) 2. MAC stippling brush (#188 or #187) 3. A bronzer (also simply called bronzing powder) 4. A blush brush (try to say that out loud ten times in a row, haha!) 5. And the magic item: MAC's "Hush Cream Color Base" (I absolutely love this one! - in the middle on the picture)
After applying your foundation with preferably the stippling brush, apply the bronzer with a blush brush. Then with that same brush apply your blush from the inside to the outside of your face on the cheekbone.*
And now the main trick: the glow finish!!! Use "Hush Cream Color Base" it's a little magic pot which will give you this fantastic, glamorous glow!
Take a bit of the cream on your fingertip and apply it above the cheek bone in a half moon shape around your eye, so basically on the temple. A bit on the inside corners of your eyes, on your nose (don't exaggerate on this last one!), on the "cupido bow" above your lips and finally under your eyebrows.
And girl! You'll be shining like a star :-)
* Oooh by the way, there's also a magic trick for applying the bronzer. Coming your way very soon!
Pretty Precious in one Touch!
For this total look featuring Annebel, it was important for me to keep the make-up as pure as possible! I clearly wanted to let your attention go to Annebel's creations rather than to anything else.
Pretty precious in one touch.
I gave Setareh a "poupée de cire" skin by simply mixing a bit of "Face and Body" foundation with a drop of "Strobe Liquid" lotion (providing a luminous effect on the surface of the skin). A touch of "Mineralize Satinfinish" powder and my favorite process of shaping, bronzing and highlighting gave this resplendent precious look!
I applied some "Bare Study Paint Pot" with my finger tip on the eyelids to light them up in just one second! A bit of "Smolder Eye Kohl" blended with the N° 266 angled brush (you know this one by now right?) and "Opulash Mascara" for great contrast on her eyes!
After so much simplicity and quietness on the eyes, I'd usually add a touch of rock 'n roll on the lips...Well, not this time! I broke my own rules and habits and went for the nude glossy lips we talked about previously and mixed "Freckeltone lipstick" with "Just Superb Cremesheen Glass".
So when less is more...
It's precious!!!

For this look, we had to make sure the necklaces got the attention they deserved.
We therefore created a nude romantic look using a light, neutral color palette as well as delicate fabrics and added a slight touch of color with the "flamingo pink" bra.
We threw in some nude patent shoes and a pink bow bracelet to complete the look.
The perfect look - not too much distraction - to make Annebel's work speak for itself.

Meet the Pretty Perfect Strangers at Piknik Musik
Yesterday was a special Sun(ny)day as it was this summer’s first edition of Piknik Musik. Nice weather, lovely people, tasty drinks and great looks. What more could we ask for?
So this is us...
Always having fun together and with our Pretty Perfect Ladies!
... but we were more interested in all those Pretty Perfect Strangers in the park and their all time favorite items and new stuff.
Let's start with our own...
These silver bracelets are my absolute favorites (ok, besides the gold ones). They were a gift from my mom when I was sixteen. Simple and lovely.
Mind the Pretty Perfect ring Anne-Laure gave me for my birthday. All time favorite to be!
Anne-Laure was wearing her all time favorite necklace she received from her parents when she was sixteen. I've never seen her without it. She never takes it off!
Marijke's heart necklace - which we actually bought together in Amsterdam (good times!) - reminds her of the good old times when she used to play as a kid with her mother's huge heart necklace collection.
Manon was wearing her all time favorite sunglasses she'd spotted on a girl during her ski trip a couple of months ago. Her husband, Peter, got the details of the sunglasses and got it for her birthday. Score!
"Ever thine" is taken from Manon and Peter's wedding vows: "Ever mine, Ever thine, Ever ours".
Sander (aka Mo'Stash) wore his favorite Pretty Perfect Vintage jacket which belonged to this dad who actually wore it when meeting Sander's mom. Talking about some vintage!
And look who we ran into! Annelies (from Annebel) was wearing her Piknik outfit...
... accessorized with a lovely vintage bag she got during her recent trip to Paris!
Stijn (aka dj Stan Lee Cheez) wore his new T-shirt, totally approved by the Pretty Perfect Strangers. Great print!
Ragni's dress from Gsus Industries was absolutely delicious! Colorful and light.
So was the necklace her friend got her from Thailand... (we want it too!).
Juan was looking great, as usual, and was very happy with his new leather satchel bag. We can see why :-)
Niki wore her lovely new white shirt and gave us this Pretty Perfect Pose!
Shanna's dress marked the beginning of some very good times when she bought it a couple of weeks ago. And good times mark the beginning of even better times!

Okay, this outfit is great. Casual but very classy. The perfect jeans, white T and electric blue jacket, accessorized with an Annebel necklace in matching colors. That's what we call: COOL.

Make-up tip #3: Nude impact
As you probably noticed in the make-up of our third total look, nude lips are very very pretty on smokey or accentuated eyes.
So come on, try it out! It's easy!
What do you need?
1. A decent lip balm for the best hydration. 2. Lip eraser "dim" by Mac Pro OR your usual foundation. 3. Your favorite lipgloss.
How to?
1. Hydrated lips are a must so before starting with the total make-up, apply a good lip conditionner! (Forget about labello. Labello is a faker!)
2. After finishing the rest of the make-up, finish off with the lips. In the meantime, they should be hydrated and soft. Now just use a bit of your foundation or a lip eraser such as the "dim" lip eraser from MAC Pro and tap it on your lips using your finger tips. No need for too much texture, but that's up to you.
3. Take your favorite gloss (whether it's transparent, pinkish, orange or whatever) and just apply it on!!!
Nude glossy lips in just a minute! How easy is that?
Rocking it like she just don't care!
The make-up I had in mind for this look was nonchalant chic, trendy, sophisticated but still kind of tough.
Okay, she looks like she just doesn't care, but don't be fooled as every detail matters!
I chose a simple quick bronzy smokey eye to give Setareh that touch of "I rule", " I rock" but I don't have to show it off! Not too much at least! :-)
Bronze, goldish and brownish colours were an obvious choice as summer's back!
To me very clean skin is important to have this sophisticated "I care about myself" feeling.
So I used transparent foundation warmed up by a bronzing powder without forgetting my lovely "hush" cream color base (MAC) and a creamy texture highlight to give her skin this amazing glow!
And because every detail matters, I finished the look off with a nude glossy lip.
She 's ready and she rocks....like she just don't care!

Good Shoes - Under Control
I instantly adored this affordable dress because of its beautiful fabric - warm colours and an amazing print - its perfect fit and versatility. It could perfectly fit a boho chic look when accessorized with wooden wedges or flat sandals and the right accessories.
For this look, we pimped the dress with a black leather jacket and sky high killer heels. I couldn't be more serious when I say killer heels. I admit I was quite afraid of breaking an ankle - or two - when walking around on them.
We sticked to the same color palette for the accessories. Golden bracelets, a shiny black bracelet and necklace, a big sparkling ring and simple black earrings. There's no need to overdo this look with accessories.
And last but not least, the perfect bag. Simple but kind of raw-ish with those gorgeous golden studs. Alexander Wang rocks my world on a regular basis but this Rocco bag is, in my humble opinion, still his masterpiece and I'm very proud to carry it around every now and then :-)
We were thrilled with this rock chick party look.
Smooth but rough. Soft but hard. Almost trashy but still very stylish.

I don't remember where I bought the earrings (probably H&M), but I do remember that the golden bracelets were a gift from my mom, all the way from Iran!
Make-up tip #2: the perfect eyeliner
We loved the pink eyeliner from our second total look. And we couldn't keep another good make-up tip from you.
The perfect eyeliner is not a nightmare anymore! Drawing a perfect eyeliner is indeed not that easy, but with these tips and some training, your eyeliner will soon be your best friend.
So what do you need?
1. An eye pencil (any eye pencil will do the job). 2. A pot gel eyeliner (MAC's "fluidline" is lovely to work with). 3. A small angled brush (MAC Nr. 266). You probably have an eye pencil somewhere in your beauty case, but we've added this picture so you have an idea of the MAC products we use for the eyeliner. Back to business, how to apply the perfect eyeliner? 1. Apply the eye pencil as close as possible to your upper lashes. It doesn't need to be precise. This is just to fill the lash line with color to avoid white spaces between the eyeliner and the lashes (which is ugly right?). 2. Take a bit of the gel liner with your angled brush and simply but carefully go over the first line you drew with the eye pencil. Draw the eyeliner from the inside of your eye to the outside while staying again as close as possible to the lashes! One last good advice: take your time, no need to hurry! Keep practising and soon you'll never leave the house without your eyeliner.

Forget about the "oh so boring" brown girls! This summer, try out some kinky colors and let yourself go! Aqua blue is in these days. But a yellow or pink eyeliner can make the difference too!

TICKLED PINK, BABY!
Unless you've been walking around blindfolded lately, you know that it's all about the color block look this season.
But before you read any further, hit play for the perfect soundtrack!
Pony Pony Run Run - Hey You (Copacabana Club Remix) by wearecopas
Aiming for a bold - maybe even over the top - colorful look, I combined two items I absolutely love into one outfit. The skintight breathtaking (but not literally) green jeans fit perfectly and match the flashy pink/orange/white leopard cardigan. I am usually not too fond of animal prints, but this cardigan stole my heart (as well as that of many others at Essentiel's flash collection opening) as soon as I saw it. A white t-shirt to bring the two pieces together and finishing off with the right accessories.
Now, let me tell you about the amazing shoes. Well, for starters, they never go by unnoticed. The white bow, the coral shiny heel and the fuchsia sole turn an otherwise boring beige shoe into an absolute eyecatcher. Found them online and had to have them - I even called them my loves at first sight. Danish brand Lola Ramona for the win!
I'm sure you can see why Pretty Perfect Strangers are tickled pink over this look :-)

My very first Marc Jacobs
Sunday morning - actually noon by the time I got there - brunch in Antwerp with my true and beloved friend and her other half at this place called CARAVAN. Nice place, great atmosphere, quick service and lots and lots of food.
We had a rich "hangover breakfast" which came with an aspirin OR a beer to kill that hangover.
My friend who'd just returned from a fancy business trip to Hong Kong did not come back empty-handed, did she?
No no, she bought herself a wonderful must-have Marc by Marc Jacobs bag in the most adorable blue I've ever seen. Just the perfect purse for her.
And of course she did not forget about me and my love for the entire Marc by Marc Jacobs bags and purses collection.
She brought me my very first (FINALLY!!) Marc by Marc Jacobs bag ever, ALL THE WAY from Hong Kong, how cool is that? I know, the picture is quite mysterious but I'm keeping it for the next photo shoot...
So, true and beloved friend - you know who you are - not only do you have my heart forever, you also have my eternal gratefulness, since you made a true fashionista out of me.
Now, let the show-off begin :-D
Another pretty perfect stranger?
I have been introduced to a lovely girl who makes fabulous handmade necklaces and it just seemed such a good idea to feature some of her work in our next photo shoot.
So after exchanging a couple of Facebook messages and texts, we got together yesterday for drinks and we ended up talking for hours.
Annebel is intelligent, charming and eloquent. Beautiful on the inside and gorgeous on the outside. Another Pretty Perfect Stranger.
I checked out her Annebel Facebook Page and was amazed by the beauty and elegance of the delicately handmade necklaces.
And of course, I already got my own today - what did you expect?
