I mean, while we’re at it, I also have to say that it is insane insane INSANE the way people are sleeping on Gertrude/Agnes. Not to be that guy but if those two were men this fandom would have imploded on the spot. What do you mean one woman is the chosen one messiah of her fire cult and the other one decided to stop the fire cult’s apocalypse plan by, by choice, she did not have to do it like that, tying herself as a soulmate to the first woman. also they NEVER MET except the one time Gertrude tracked down Agnes to ask her to pretty please murder her coworker who was being annoying and Agnes did. And also the fire cult all fucking hated loathed DESPISED Gertrude but couldn’t kill her about it because they were too closely tied together. at least a few people at separate points in time were like “man it’s wild you’re with the eye because you’re like, really really into all of that fire cult stuff. all things considered. are you sure you’re not aligned with the fire cult?” It’s implied Agnes’ firey nature was affected and lessened by Gertrude’s ritual tying them together and also at the same time Gertrude became Way More bomb-happy. Agnes once called Gertrude her anchor. to quote the wiki, “Gertrude was not notably affected by Agnes’ death”. What an insane yuri situation setup and we barely even see the barest hints of it over the course of Two Hundred episodes. jesus christ.
