Quite old, but a random page where I practiced drawing buildings in perspective
Philson Ahn, who played Buck Rogers' ally, Tallen the Prince of Saturn and Master of the Zuggs in the 1939 Buster Crabbe "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" serial, was the son of a diplomat and resistance fighter against Japanese occupiers. When he returned to Korea after the Japanese were ousted, he spoke a regional version of Korean spoken in parts of the north that was so archaic in grammar and vocabulary that it was borderline unintelligible to other Koreans, comparable to Elizabethan English.
Philson's sister, Susan Ahn, was one of the first female gunnery officers in the US Navy, and his brother Phillip had a more successful career as an actor, notably as the Buddhist Master Kan in flashbacks in "Kung Fu" (who asked Kwai Chang Kane to "take the pebble from my hand"). The Ahn family are known to be devout Presbyterian Christians, but viewed their faith as very compatible with the spiritual wisdom on the show.
