My humble offering for day 1 at Price Appreciation Week. I chose A/B/O dynamics from the SFW list. Alpha!John Price x omega!reader.
When John enters his office his shoulders relax as soon as he can smell you: his omega. You're staring out of the windows, into the darkness of the base but he knows you're aware he's joined you, he feels it through the link connecting you both.
SFW but 18+ only please!
It has been another long day, filled with meetings and assorted bullshit he'd rather have nothing to do with; if not because he has to leave you home, he'd rather be out in the field where he doesn't have to deal with the small assholes sitting behind too big desks.
"Omega." He groans as soon as he hugs you from behind.
Like an afterthought his nose finds the curve of your shoulder, his bite hidden by the smart cardigan you're wearing. Sugary, you've always smelt like that, like the candies he used to love when he was just a child.
"Alpha." Your voice is soft, and tired, in his ears.
Immediately his thick fingers intertwine with yours, the wedding bands clicking lightly.
He had been the one pushing for an actual wedding ceremony, not simply a quick trip to the registry office after he had bitten you. He wanted it all: to stare at you as you walked up the altar, dancing with you while wearing the ceremonial uniform, all your families and friends around you two for the day. You looked so happy by the time the party had finished, the memory still warming him during long deployments.
"I have missed you, alpha."
He can smell the way his body responds to your soft purring: the office filling with his own musk and pheromones; he tightens his hold around your frame and pushes his nose tighter to where a bit of skin has been revealed.
Anybody would think that him, being on home soil, meant that the two of you would be able to see one another more: you're both at base! But the stars never align: he has meetings and rookies to train, you have to deal to the specific brand of asshattery HR work brings to your table daily; sometimes you two have barely the time to have a quick bite before going to bed, only for another day to start all over again.
When he first met you, he was a young lieutenant, still wet behind his ears and you his freshly appointed secretary.
John is not ashamed to admit he had puffed out his chest when you had offered him your hand, trying to appear as manly and alpha as he possibly could. Not that he had never been the kind of alpha to crush betas and omegas in his path, his mother had drilled in his head that the only good use of his secondary presentation was to protect those who couldn't protect themselves. Simply, as soon as his eyes had landed on you, and he had smelt you, his instincts were screaming at him to show you he was a suitable alpha: big and strong to protect you from the world.
How wrong he had been.
You had crushed his hand in an iron handshake and you had never stopped staring right into his eyes.
"Stand down lieutenant." Mac had told him. "That one will eat you up and spat you out in a second."
His old commanding officer had been, obviously, right.
You were efficient and organized. Based only on the way you modulated your "Yes sir" and "Will that be all, sir?", he could pick if you approved his decisions or if you believed him to act like a fool. Your smell was tantalizing and you looked good enough to eat in your smart suits.
And you rebuffed his invitations with stares so cold he had felt his testes retract in fear. Christ he needed to mate and marry you! He knew you could keep up with the hard edges of his life, handle them without being hurt and that was all he ever wanted in a partner, regardless of their designation.
John had fucked around a lot in his younger years, pent up energy and the need to feel alive after gruesome deployments. Then you had arrived in his life and he had started trailing after you like a lovesick puppy, showing off his strength and cunning brain, to your absolute indifference.
He should have known your relationship would have progressed under your terms, not his: one of the rare occasions where his planning was absolutely off. Because you did end up going out with him, but only after you had climbed the civilian ladder at base to a position higher than his. Only then you had marched towards him and told him when and where he was supposed to meet you.
If he had a tail he would have wagged it, nevermind that Simon, the Simon before he became The Ghost, was there, smirking openly at his boss.
"Long day, my love?" His voice is muffled against your skin. "Who do I have to kill for you?"
He knows you don't need that. He looks at you and wonders why omegas are still banned from serving in the army: you all have fangs the same way alphas do, and can be scarier, under the right circumstances.
None of his enemies would survive you in the field.
John's heart melts when he feels you cuddle close to him: he's your safe haven, the only one who gets to see your soft underbelly, because he had worked hard to show that he was worthy of your trust.
"It's unofficial, so, not a real problem."
"It is for you." He's not lying, there's an undercurrent of distress in the bond.
Gently he turns you around so he can lift your chin and stare into your eyes, the calm he projects is pure instinct at this point.
"It's Simon and John."
The mated alphas of his task force. The best kept secret they hide from everyone, but you.
"There's talk that they have taken interest in an omega. Nothing untoward, otherwise we wouldn't be here."
No, he thinks, we would be in the infirmary and those two would be bedridden.
The alpha in him wants to go and find them to see while they're causing you an headache, but he knows you wouldn't like it. And you don't need him to act in your place.
"I can talk to them." He offers anyway.
"The omega hasn't reported to HR. I'm thinking and planning ahead, in case that happens."
John's heart swells again: you already have a plan, and a use for him probably. You're always trying to be five steps ahead of everyone else and that's the hottest thing in his book.
"Take me home, John."
He'll do anything for you, you only need to ask. He's your alpha, you have his leash in your hand and you simply need to point him in the right direction so that he will attack for you, if so you desire. Or he can be your pillar of strength when your job takes a too big load for you carry on your own.
"As you wish."
He kisses your forehead, soft and chaste as he feels the distress slowly vanish from the bond.
Tomorrow he shall see how he can be of service for you. Like a good alpha should.

Price Appreciation Week starts soon, and our AO3 collection is live!! We'll be accepting works up until the end of September, so don't worry if you end up falling behind or not having time during the week.
Laswell and I have sifted through dozens of data points, and we were incredibly impressed with what you found over the course of the last few weeks. With more intel than initially anticipated... Well, we just couldn't decide.
While much of the initial guidance is the same, with double the prompts, we have double the ideas. That being said...
- You may combine SFW and NSFW prompts!
- SFW prompts may be used for NSFW works and vice versa (if you manage to make cockwarming SFW... consider me impressed.)
- You may combine prompts across days (for example, Day 3 SFW and Day 7 NSFW) if you so wish!
- The event is still MDNI even with SFW prompts.
- NO AI.
- Art, writing, poetry, music, edits, moodboards, cosplay... anything made with your own human hands is welcome! Please no IRL NSFW.
(Note that the "no IRL NSFW" rule applies to nudes/lewds/RL porn *only* and not things like VA scripts.)
Our deployment date is still August 17th. I expect to see you on the tarmac bright and early, kitted up and ready to go. For now...

Songs Prompts
Day 1: For the Last Time
By Vesyolye Rebyata (The Jolly Fellows)
In the lead-up to the 1980 Moscow Olympics, the USSR released an album of Russian covers of popular Western songs. Among them was this track: light, melodic, and seemingly tender at first. Yet it stands as one of the most haunting songs ever produced in the Soviet Union.
The reason lies in its origins. The original version of this song is featured in Carlos Saura’s film Raise Ravens (Cría Cuervos), which tells the unsettling story of an eight-year-old girl who loses both of her parents. Convinced she somehow caused their deaths, her grief twists into a morbid fascination with death and loss, slowly pulling her away from reality, even as, all around her, a brutal dictatorship crumbles. The chorus captures the raw ache of this loss with devastating precision.
Time will fly by,
And you will forget everything that happened
To me and you
No, I'm not waiting for you, but know that I loved
For the last time

Day 2: Grass Near the HomeBy Zemlyane (The Earthlings)
At the height of the Cold War, the United States released Star Wars, forever altering global pop culture. The USSR answered in its own unexpected way: not with tales of battles between good and evil, but with a song about space that doesn’t mention conflict at all.
There’s a sly undertone to this, of course, but the message remains striking: instead of contesting comparisons that painted the USSR as an “Evil Empire,” the song urges us to rise above the fight and remember that out in space, we’re all children of the same fragile planet. No matter where our rockets lift off from, we all share the same quiet longing for home.
The son is missing his mother,
And the mother is waiting for her son,
And so is the Earth waits for her sons.

Day 3: It Pleases Me that I am Not Your HurtPerformed by Alla Pugacheva
In the 1970s, the Soviet Union released The Irony of Fate, a film that became a cultural phenomenon. With its glittering cast, the sex symbols of their day, the movie spins a love triangle where, after navigating everyday mishaps and deep-seated fears, the characters finally stumble into love.
The film is so filled with songs, it borders on being a musical. Yet there’s a curious irony: though it’s a story about love, its soundtrack is a tapestry of melancholy ballads about breakups, betrayals, and loss. The centerpiece of it all was entrusted to the Soviet pop icon — Russia’s own Madonna. Set to verses by one of the most celebrated poets of the Silver Age, this song in a fairy tale about love begins with a line that cuts straight to the bone:
It pleases me that I am not your hurt,
It pleases me that you are not my illness,
That as we step upon the heavy Earth,
Its solidness shall never drift beneath us.

Day 4: Dark NightPerformed by Mark Bernes
One of the Soviet Union’s most famous wartime songs isn’t about victory or glorious battles at all — it’s a song about separation, death, and fragile hope. When it first appeared, officials pushed back: it sounded “too sorrowful” for times of war. But that very sorrow, its raw and honest tenderness, struck closest to the hearts of soldiers longing for home and the ones they loved.
I have faith in you, in my dear friend,
This faith shielded me from a bullet in the dark night.
I feel joyful, I am calm in a deadly battle,
I know you'll meet me with love, no matter what happens to me.

Day 5: But this is Not EnoughPerformed by Sofia Rotaru
The words of this light, seemingly happy song were familiar to Soviet audiences even before the song itself was released. They first heard these verses in 1979, spoken in Tarkovsky’s film Stalker — lines written by the director’s own father.
It’s a quiet, philosophical reflection from a man tempered by life, mourning the things time has taken and can never return. Beneath its gentle, joyful melody lies a bittersweet sorrow hidden in the lines:
Whatever I wanted to happen
Fell right into my hands
Like a five-fingered leaf.
But it’s not enough.

Day 6: Calm Nightby Kino
A band best known for their sharp, revolutionary anthems reached the height of their fame and surprised their listeners with this unexpectedly gentle, vaguely unsettling lullaby. Fans immediately spun theories around its lyrics: some heard a veiled tale of death, others imagined a pagan fable whispered in the dark. Years later, the song would become a staple of every Russian doomer playlist, its opening lines drawing listeners into a heavy, hypnotic world.
Tremble the roofs under the weight of the days
The shepherd of skies is herding the clouds
The city is shooting the sky with buckshots of light
But stronger's the night, and great is her might

Day 7: Don’t Sleep on the EdgeTraditional Folk Song
One of the most widespread lullabies in the Russian language tells of a world divided into two realms: the “familiar,” safe and tamed by human hands, and the “other”—alien, perilous, ruled by spirits and sickness.
In the song, a parent warns their child of the dangers lurking in that foreign domain. This threat takes the shape of a wolf, waiting for the baby to stray too close to the edge of the cradle so it can snatch them away into the dark forest. Perhaps that’s why this lullaby is so often compared to the plot of a horror story.
Hush, little baby, don't you cry
Don't lie so close to the side —
The little gray wolf will come
He'll grab you by your side
And drag you to the woods so wide
