~Just because we’re born different, doesn’t mean we aren’t equals~
Ok but as a dysphoric trans man the whole ‘you need dysphoria to be trans’ actually baffles me because even tho I’ve always has crippling dysphoria, it didn’t actually help me figure out my gender at all. I usually dismissed my dysphoria as ‘internalized misogyny’ or just not being feminine enough, which actually just caused me worse dysphoria.
You know what made me figure out that I’m trans though? Gender euphoria. The minute I got called a ‘sir’ is the moment that I realized, “shit this feels right.” And at that point I realized that I could no longer deny the fact that I’m not a woman and that I couldn’t keep living as one.
Here’s a hot take: maybe being trans isn’t so much about how uncomfortable you can be in your AGAB, but rather how much more comfortable you can be.
Can you believe?
character development
THIS IS THE KIND OF DEVELOPMENT I LIKE TO SEE
I love his response about how he’s more informed now.
“Now I’m in a higher grade, I read more books, and get more information about stuff.” This is literally all we’re asking of the bigots, but they’re apparently incapable of the development a seven year old is.
i am straight but im highkey a gay.. eesh.
Because a straight who understands the joke cannot chime in to add to the joke, cause that is being totally inclusive like you guys want.
People took to the streets in celebration in India after its Supreme Court struck down a 157-year-old colonial-era law, “Section 377,” that criminalized all sexual activity apart from heterosexual sex as “against the order of nature.” Judges described the law as “arbitrary” and said that freedom could only be fulfilled where the LGBT community possesses equal rights.( Getty Images)

As China bans any “display of homosexuality” in online visual and audio content, major Chinese LGBTQ online magazines and platforms are being shut down in the past 24 hours. Please stand with China’s LGBTQ community. Post something on Weibo and WeChat, spread the message, make a donation, ask your LGBTQ friends how you can help. Trying to regulate people’s sexuality is as useless as it is absurd and we won’t stay silent.
the “___ change my mind” guy sitting at a desk is Steven Crowder who is literally a deep conservative “comedian” and the biggest transphobe of 2018 so can we NOT use that meme anymore thanks. he literally calls trans people tr**** in some of his videos and refers to caitlyn jenner (I may not like her but Christ) as a transgender f@scist because she transitioned and refers to her transitioning as “going full #sjw.” this meme is cancelled and not funny. use google if you don’t believe me. bye
yeah actually i did some research (googling. i googled) and this is what the the original image was: (as opposed to what i first saw it as and what other might have, and had assumed that was the real one)
he does stuff like that a lot;
so yeah Yikes.
Shit, I just looked him up as well.
Fucking YIKES, meme cancelled.
FYI. Don’t reblog or make any more memes from this guy. Fucking creep.

This "My My My" singer is the role model you need right now.
Thank you Troye for being a voice for LGBTQ+ youth and spreading so much, love, positivity and acceptance.

“Life isn’t about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself.”
Feeling a sense of loss identifying as a straight transman, not feeling like I quite fit in with the LGBTQ community.
I identified as a gay woman before I came out as transgender and this was a huge part of my identity. The majority of my friends are gay, my partners were also gay and I just didn’t know where to turn or who I could share my experiences with.
Today I will be discussing how I navigated this confusing time for me and how I found where I truly belong with self discovery.
President Trump issued a proclamation on Thursday to commemorate World AIDS Day — and didn’t mention the LGBT community a single time.
Because he knows how to kick us when we’re down, Minority President Trump this week made a speech honoring World AIDS Day – a day recognizing the fight against a disease that has obliterated LGBTQ communities in disproportionate numbers for decades – and conveniently left out any mention of LGBTQ people at all.
Barack Obama and Bill Clinton both mentioned the LGBTQ community in their speeches on World AIDS Day. Trump joins the ranks of George W. Bush, who also did not mention us in this speech in both his presidential terms.
The move left social media users steaming — including Democratic National Committee spokesperson Joel Kasnetz, who called it “downright insulting.”
“In his first year in office, Trump hasn’t missed an opportunity to be cruel to the LGBTQ community and the millions living with HIV all over the world,” Kasnetz tweeted. “Trying to erase LGBTQ people from the history of HIV/AIDS is another slap in the face.”
The LGBT advocacy group Lambda Legal said Trump’s neglect was ultimate proof that the White House was not taking HIV/AIDS “seriously.”
“Not only did the White House statement on World AIDS Day fail to mention the population in which two-thirds of HIV cases in the U.S. occur — gay and bisexual men — it also failed to point out the disproportionate impact in communities of color, for gay and bisexual men of color, particularly young men of color, or for transgender women,” Scott Schoettes, HIV/AIDS project director for Lambda Legal, seethed in a statement.
“It is estimated that at current rates, one in two black gay and bisexual men in this country will be diagnosed with HIV in their lifetime. That is an appalling statistic that we cannot paper over with platitudes,” he said. “Simply put, HIV affects people in some communities more than others, and our federal government cannot turn a blind eye to that.”
Not that anybody is surprised anymore. But it still hurts.
Created by comic book creator Malik Shabazz, Cyber/Punk/Funk is a cyberpunk anthology comprised of 10 short stories drawn and written by queer people and people of color. The eye-popping graphic stories are pieces of speculative fiction that “[examine] the world as it is and how it may one day be.” Each of the three words …
Hey, remember that anti-LGBTQ hate summit where our scumbag president spoke yesterday? This is the flyer that was distributed to everyone in attendance.
Can’t make this shit up. Reblog if you, too, are a homosexual health hazard.
[Images: Two photos of a flyer advertising a book called “The Health Hazards of Homosexuality,” published by the group MassResistance. The book cover has a rainbow flag overlaid with the caduceus symbol of medicine. The book is described as “the truth about this public health crisis” and suggests that “the media give little attention to the danger of ‘gay’ and lesbian sexual practices and the resulting health problems.” More information is available at healthhazardsofhomosexuality.info.]
Gaylien.co, a new brand and blog, are creating LGBTQIA+ apparel (genderless and unisex)
In this process, they are donating 10% of funds of every purchase to The Trevor Project - @thetrevorproject, a non-profit who does so many great things for our community, but has a large focus on preventing LGBTQIA+ suicides.
They have some pretty neat gear, some of my favourites are:
Click here to check out some of their other products - definitely a great way to show your support to a LGBTQIA+ company & you’ll also be helping a non-profit support youth!
"Having media that represents the breadth of our differences is a way to make those of us who often feel othered instead feel whole and valued."
A popular web series ― one of the only projects of its kind that tells stories of transgender male experience ― is returning for a second season.
The excellent first season of “Brothers,” which has been compared to “Girl” but “with trans guys,” is currently available on Amazon Prime, Vimeo On Demand and SeekaTV. For its second season ― the first episode of which has already been screened at several film festivals ― the creator of the web series wants to continue provide authentic, rich portrayals of the lives and experiences of trans men.
“Having media that represents the breadth of our differences is not only a way to make those of us who often feel othered, instead feel whole and valued, but it gives folks outside of the transgender experience an opportunity to see us as real people ― as human beings who are the same as everyone else,” creator and star Emmet Lundberg told HuffPost. “We’ve had so many young people, especially, tell us what a difference the show makes in making them feel less alone. That, in itself, is reason enough to make it.”
“Brothers” is currently engaged in a Seed&Spark campaign to help fund the an additional episode of the project. Head here to check it out and for more information on the series.
