..... ya’ll.
the King’s Hand was all that the king himself was not— diligent, decisive, tireless, fiercely intelligent, just, and stern. “The gods made and shaped this man to rule,” Grand Maester Pycelle wrote of Tywin Lannister in a letter to the Citadel after serving with him on the small council for two years.
And rule he did. As the king’s own behavior grew increasingly erratic, more and more the day-to-day running of the realm fell to his Hand. The realm prospered under Tywin Lannister’s stewardship— so much so that King Aerys’s endless caprices did not seem so portentous. Many Targaryens before him had exhibited similar behavior without great cause for concern. From Oldtown to the Wall, men began to say that Aerys might wear the crown, but it was Tywin Lannister who ruled the realm.

(and im not impatient) so yes. it’s messy but things will SLOWLY make their way in order, I do have other blogs that are a priority as well as here. but yes.

"Need I remind you, father, Joffrey is King. Do you mean to tell me that I should undermine him?”
“I mean to tell you to remind him, as I remind you - that he will act a King, and not a child playing at war. A king, after all- should not be so easily undermined.”

The little Stark would exchange courtesies with the Lord of Lannister, the now acting Hand of the King. Foolish girl. Eyes shifting from the shifting heads among the crowds of the court, to each and every babbling and baa’ing sheep that shuffled about. Chortling in the masses, just like a proper flock with the watchful eye of the Lion, standing guard while his Grandson allowed himself to be swallowed by them by the hand of Lady Margaery.
He never fancied court,
A watchful eyes turned away from her, dismissing aswas ordering a leave. But not before uttering a single sentence. “You do well to remember that gratitude.“
"Lady Brienne. You seem fertile."

Wow. How endearing. / @jaimelannisterthings
Eyes of gilded gold and green flit along the parchment that lay at the attention of the Lion. There is only the sound of the quill scratching along paper, movements made as a palm lifted and actions dip the end in black ink. “Of course he did.” the King had found enough humor in events, didn’t he? Where there had been a friend, once - now there was only a fool. A mad, laughing, fool who smiled when he had granted his dismissal- who had shamed his House again and again.
The Mad King had a debt to pay, and the toll had only grown with this final shame on his name.
The Lord of Lannister stood then, the pen set away, with no words as fingers roll the scroll. Wax taken into hand, set on a candle, dabbled and sealed with the press of a ring. The Lord turned then to the Knight, his son -, his heir. Eyes hardening as they met the boy’s who’s newly dawned cloaked had only made the Lion sneer. Tywin wanted to rip it from his shoulders and shove it into the flame. King Aerys saw fit to mock him one last time by taking his son.
“And you will give him this.” And thus, Tywin Lannister dismissed him. Naught with words, naught with a proper leaving, but the simple hand of the scroll and the turn of a cold eye back down to the writing table.
My Children are utter failures, how dare they.
