The Tentei Hachibushu are gonna love fighting them

Each of their lore points to Susanoomon sealing them all away single-handedly. Which also means, these should be our main villains whenever we get that Shambala game

I'm also convinced that they will being getting a "fifth" member

Similar to how the Apocalymon is made of the Dark Masters and how Ogudomon is made of the Seven Demon Lords, I genuinely believe that there is an ancient evil made of the data of all four members of the Shikyoju

There will never be a digivolution sequence more iconic than hers

Since the first time I saw it, it was always the one I remembered the most. It's all the imagery from the sakura trees, the glimpse of the moon, and transforming by moving through the ripples in the water

Summoning her kuda-kitsune was everything and I love that Time Stranger referenced that with her Izuna attack

I thought it over and I think Digimon RPGs would be improved if they brought back starter teams

Digimon World Dawn/Dusk had starter packs instead of singular digimon starters. Every trio had Coronamon and Lunamon with two other digimon. One listed as common and one listed as rare

Between all of the following: -Most Digimon games using the attribute triangle for the battle system -Needing multiples of most digimon to fill out the field guide -The entire roster is mostly unlocked as soon as you get all the baby levels which are always first dungeon encounters anyway

There's really not much reason to restrict the player to a singular starter digimon, but there is good reason to justify having a full trio

While I'm in a Veemon mood, the Adventure 02 squad is beautifully cohesive from a design standpoint

They kinda just look like they're supposed to be friends

You could pair any two of them together and they would make sense

It's probably because of how balanced they feel. They cover four basic colors, four different digimon types, and from their design alone, you can tell each of them bring their own unique skills that the others lack

I also never noticed that they all have their own facial markings before. It's interesting what you miss

What makes Veemon so special that he evolves into two Royal Knights and half of its founder?

That's really impressive for the little guy

I like to believe UlforceVeedramon and Magnamon inherited their potential directly from Imperialdramon. Two different descendants following in their ancestor's footsteps in their own ways would make so much sense

ExMaquinamon is amazingly unique as far as jogress evolutions go

Digimon's no stranger to having a jogress between polar opposites, but ExMaquinamon just stands out so well

The components are two different types of false angels. A perfect machine and a perfect beast. I love the parallels between their eyes, wings, and halos. The high-tech halo compared to the bone halo. The silver and gold color schemes both highlights their contrast and how they're each trying to emulate holy digimon despite not being officially classified as them

ExMaquinamon meshes both of its components incredibly well. It resembles a different type of angel, but the two divided halves make it obvious as a fake. It really sells that ExMaquinamon is a false god trying to impose its will on a world that doesn't belong to it. It even has 10 wings to mimic the highest ranking angels

It's also worth pointing out that Maquinamon is a cat digimon like Gatomon. That design choice could've been subtle foreshadowing that Maquinamon's evolution would emulate hers all along. An artificial cat becoming false angels in contrast to a real cat becoming true angels

A game with ExMaquinamon as the final boss would be so much fun!

You can't have an Eastern Digital World and not have the Four Symbols involved somehow

Since the Yellow Dragon only exists in Chinese mythology, and Shambala's continent represents the Chinese-inspired half of the world, they could easily say that Huanglongmon is at the heart of the land or better yet, say that it's the entire continent

I would like to see Alphamon get new forms

Since Omnimon can acquire new forms based on the Greymon and Garurumon variants that jogressed together, it's only fair that Alphamon get a few new options too as their counterpart

I can imagine Alphamon having his own squad of digimon who turn into new weapons for him similar to the sword Ouryumon turns into. He could have a scepter for magic or a bow for long range

Whenever they get added to a Digimon game, I am prepared to make this my main squad

My original Time Stranger plan was to use Ghost Game along with the Olympos XII, but they ended up not being in the game so they can be on a team with Beatbreak

I will need another Gammamon, Cougarmon, and ideally Rhamphomon to swap out for Virus coverage when necessary tho

While I do like Digital World: Iliad, I think they could've been a bit more creative with the zones

Each of them are effectively their own island floating around the Guardian Palace. That's fine, but since Iliad takes from Greek and Roman myth, I think there's a missed opportunity with them

There are many myth of heroes being placed into the sky as constellations so it would've been a fun idea to design each of the worlds as giant constellations

One of the main lore concepts is that everything in the Iliad is a gear in the system. Using gears in the place of stars, we could construct the Iliad as one giant star pattern comprised of smaller star patterns which emphasizes the importance of maintaining the natural laws of the world and how their equilibrium is affected by our actions

It would also emphasize how desolate the Dark Field is as the only area detached from the rest of the system. Being both a rusted gear and a fallen star that's lost alone in the void

If Susanoomon's the Hero of Shambala, are the Warrior Ten linked to it too?

The fire spirits are named after Hindu mythology, Agni and Vritra. Aldamon's reference book entry mentions that they were named after Ardhanarishvara

While all the current information involves Chinese and Japanese mythology, it wouldn't be too surprising if Shambala had an area that takes inspiration from Indian and other South Asian myth

The TCG did already give them all Japanese-style card art

While most of them do not reference Asian folklore, their connection to Susanoomon would be enough to justify connecting them to Shambala somehow. Maybe they were the protectors of the original Shambala prior to its ruin and sacrificed their lives to create Susanoomon and recreate the world at Kunlun's order

They have a lot of lore despite limited focus. Besides the Vortex Warriors, there are three other unnamed groups that protect their Digital World using elemental magic

The Vortex Warriors we already have are super cool. Hexeblaumon could easily be a member of the water group or be trying to establish their own ice group
