Absence
If Susanoomon's the Hero of Shambala, are the Warrior Ten linked to it too?
The fire spirits are named after Hindu mythology, Agni and Vritra. Aldamon's reference book entry mentions that they were named after Ardhanarishvara
While all the current information involves Chinese and Japanese mythology, it wouldn't be too surprising if Shambala had an area that takes inspiration from Indian and other South Asian myth
The TCG did already give them all Japanese-style card art
While most of them do not reference Asian folklore, their connection to Susanoomon would be enough to justify connecting them to Shambala somehow. Maybe they were the protectors of the original Shambala prior to its ruin and sacrificed their lives to create Susanoomon and recreate the world at Kunlun's order
"Gammamon, Shinka!"
"Wankomon, Shinka!"
Preparing to run a Digimon TTRPG called Digimon Journeys. Its basically a retelling of Adventure with a Shambala flair and permanent evolution. These are the evolution drawings I made for two of the partners in Beatbreak style.
Their evolutionary pathways haven't been decided yet, and the other two have yet to fully evolve their Digimon. I might do more of these in the future, I had a blast!

"I asked Bandai if they could be in the game and the executives laughed at me for a solid 30 minutes before giving the Royal Knights another side quest."
Having more Digimon thoughts, specifically about Homeostasis, one of the most mysterious figures in the franchise.
Having done some quick research, the majority of its appearances are in the Adventure continuity, or at the very least tied to Yggdrasil. It's noted that Yggdrasil's main intelligence, also called Yggdrasil except in the dub where it's known as King Drasil, tends to be very violent, having repeatedly performed a culling of its Digimon inhabitants. So, Homeostasis came into being to counteract Yggdrasil and be a more benevolent keeper of balance.
But Homeostasis is also brought up in Time Stranger, specifically as the "higher power" that Chronomon sought to defeat as well as how the player character exists at all. This is particularly interesting because Time Stranger takes place in Iliad, whose host computer of Homeros is in a bad way because Chronomon is its personification of time and they've fallen into despair and want to die.
Which implies that Homeostasis is connected to Homeros/Iliad as well as Yggdrasil. And might also be connected to Kunlun/Shambala, the third host computer in a similar fashion.
One of the mysteries surrounding Homeostasis is that it very rarely actually appears, always acting indirectly via other characters, most notably via possession in the Adventure continuity, and the two times it has manifested in itself, it has appeared as either Yagami Hikari or just a bunch of floating octahedrons. It has also apparently denied that it is a god, but the idea that it's acting as a moderator for each of the known Digital Worlds is interesting. (Side theory: Mirei Mikagura could be Homeostasis pretending not to be.)
But there's also one other curious thing. Homeostasis wasn't said to just appear, but rather it was brought online and connected to Yggdrasil specifically to counteract its more violent tendencies. Which means that there is something that is watching the Digital Worlds and working to maintain them.
Because that's another thing: the Host Computers. We have no idea right now their origins. Back in the earlier days of the franchise, as I touched on in another post, Digimon were said to come into being in their simplest forms when ABC and ENIAC, the first computers, booted up. Then, as digital tech became more widespread, the Digital World grew until it basically mirrored Earth.
Then Yggdrasil was introduced during the X-Virus story as the Host Computer of the at-the-time only Digital World.
But where do the Host Computers exist? Who built and maintains them? Who created Homeostasis?
Here, have a Shambala Digimon! Fukamon was sculpted ages ago, around the time all those new Shambala designs were revealed for the new V-Pet. So here's Mococomon. I guess I'll make a Rookie for these two clouds now!
