ooc: [OUT]
uhh, just to reiterate, MARTIN IS ALREADY OUT!
he just got shot by dagny!
pinkpanthertheme.mp3 // taking out the trash
The fact that Cash was not only the epitome of greed, but a slave to it, too, was definitely working in her favour.
She swapped out the hastily-made fishing rod-esque thing for her own gun, pitifully underused (she hadn’t wanted "has a history of shooting people during recreational activities" to count against her at her trial) and pointed it down, readying it, and firing it three times.
Only when the bullets were too far gone to dodge did she yell out a very happy and triumphant "That was for Armin, fuckface!", poking her head out of the window, and revealing her cheeky grin.
…But not before her glasses fell off of her nose, and down towards Martin’s pretty blond head.
All three bullets hit at point-blank range and Martin found himself suddenly and horribly covered in paint. Dripping, he looked down at himself, then slowly, ever so slowly, up at the voice that had shouted for him. His mouth twitched, and then roared into a snarl as he pointed a painty, ringed finger up at her and bellowed.
"I'LL KILL YOU FOR THAT, LIADAN!"
And he took her glasses, and stamped on them, before screaming like a toddler in a supermarket and storming off down the corridor.
But not before he picked up the note.
pinkpanthertheme.mp3 // taking out the trash
A certain Prince of Hell was to be greeted that day by a lovely, crisp, sweet-smelling and fresh £10 note in front of Kaki Dorm. It lay there, blissful and blithe, waiting for a certain greedy man to pick it up.
Too bad, then, that just as he made a swipe for it, it suddenly jerked some five metres away, where it sat there just as enticingly, waiting for the next swipe.
And it continued from there, until the note got to just in front of Headmaster Merridew’s office’s spiral tower— where Dagny, ever the resourceful little fuck, was lying in wait for the greedy teacher to get there, gun aimed down from the window part-ways up the stairway.
Martin had been taking the paintball perhaps a little too seriously. Which was natural, really; he was an inherently domineering person who wished to be in control, and if that meant firing at all of the students around him, then why not?
His office had become an almost impenetrable fortress. Windows barred, door locked, his gun locked and loaded at the ready. But when he opened the door that morning to get breakfast, he almost stepped over the note, spotting it just out of the corner of his eye.
Pausing, he frowned at it for a few moments, crouching down to examine it. When he realised it was in fact, a real £10 note, however, the greedy smile spread across his face. How he would wish he'd worn his mask, today. Snatching at it, he realised, a moment later, that his hand had clasped around nothing but air.
This would continue. A fool to his own greed, right into the next tower. He was not a stupid man, but when money was involved, Cash became altogether too focused, like a dog waiting for its dinner. Nothing would draw him away from it.

Intimidation tactics. Right.
She remained steadfast in the freckly face before her, her dark eyes resolute and steely and gazing back at the man’s own golden hues. While it was undeniable that the demon was unsettling her - and, for that reason, her hand remained on the hilt of her seraph blade, ready to run him through in an instant - she would not allow it to show on her face.
She was not the Consul for nothing.
"I am giving you due warning of the Clave’s decision," she said, unwaveringly. “I’m hoping, of course, that it should not have to become a threat, and that we can both go about our careers in relative peace. But it will be my job to eliminate you if you involve yourself in breaking the law, Professor Cash.”
"I understand, Branwell. All in a day's good work, hm?"
Placing a hand on his chest in what was supposed to look like a heart-felt gesture of empathy, he offered her the most pleasant of smiles. Of course, no demon was capable of empathy.
"It's just so odd, isn't it? That you should be the one to approach me with threats of murder, when I have not so much as looked at you? Not particularly peaceful is it?" Using her own words against her, putting doubt into her mind. Specialties of every demon, particularly a Prince. Moving over to the door, he pressed his hand against it to open up, moving to step out of it, before glancing over his shoulder.
"Oh, and the best of luck in your pregnancy, Charlotte." Another of those damningly pleasant smiles, which, in the dim light, suddenly looked more demonic, more predatory, than anything that had flickered across his face during his conversation with her before.
"So... vulnerable... is new life, isn't it?"

The evil in the air - radiating from Martin, naturally - meant that it was difficult not to realise that this man was a Greater Demon, though it was true that she was unsure of whom he might have been.
"I’m not here to kill without cause. You are a teacher here; it’d be unfair to the students if we were to distrupt their timetables by killing the Business teacher."
However, she couldn’t get the fact that Will and Jem — particularly Jem — were in attendance at this school. "Should you cause any trouble for the children at this school— some of whom are well accquaintanced with Greater Demons and the havoc they can wreak— the Clave will not hesitate to eliminate you.”
He allowed her to speak and for a few moments he was silent. Then, he began to chuckle. A cold, metallic sound that reverberated around the room more than it should have done. As though the room were cold and metal too. It slowly turned from a chuckle to a cackle, and then to a full-out laugh, as though the woman had just told him a particularly funny joke.
"Good one, but let's be real here, shall we:"
Wiping away a faux-tear, he smiled eerily, taking a step closer towards her and leaning down to her eye-level.
"Are you threatening me?"
Mammon smiled.

The fact that the demon was something like a head taller than her didn’t intimidate her in the slightest (who wasn’t something like a head taller than her, really?) but his aura certainly set her on edge; the small woman set her teeth together and turned on her heel, leading him into a small side-room she’d located a few days back. It was more of a cupboard than a room, really— not the kind of place you wanted to be stuck in with a demon, but Charlotte prided herself on her ability to deal with it.
She closed the door behind her, one hand tracing the hilt of her seraph blade, hidden beneath her skirts.
"As you’re likely aware," she started, fixing him with a steely, determined stare, "the role of Nephilim is to eliminate threats to mortals from demonic influence.”
Martin was amused. Entertained, even. The smirk across his face was one of a man watching a child falling over in a park. He followed her into the side room, folding his arms over his chest. The dull light of the room only served to make his eyes seem all the more fiery.
From the way she was talking to him, he knew she couldn't tell who he was. Even Nephilim weren't stupid enough to go back-chatting a Prince of Hell. Who was? They were second only to the Devil himself, and in all his years on Earth, he'd never been vanquished. Not by an Excorcist, not by a Medium, not by a Nephilim. He was an individual that resonated evil into the air, making it feel heavier, thicker. Like oil.
Her determined stare was met by the easiest, most lazy of smiles. He graced her with only a single-word response.
"And?"
reminder to myself to set up the kaki dorm and business/economics blogs.
gdi, tamsin.

Charlotte hadn’t been expecting there to be a demon as one of her work colleagues, that was for sure. It hadn’t even crossed her mind; Kerria was meant to be a safe place for the students, after all.
"Are you 'Martin Cash?'” she asked, finally, coming up to the taller man in the staff-room. "Might I ask you to step somewhere more private with me for a moment?"
Martin had heard there were Nephilim in the school, but he had been lucky enough to avoid them, up until now. He knew at once who she was and, like a predator facing a rival species, he instantly allowed his usual wards to crumble.
Allowing some of that thick, indescribable aura to pulsate from him. An aura of the Pit itself. Oozing. Fixing her with a steady, golden stare, the Prince of Hell gave a smile that was honey-sweet and completely carnivorous.
"Of course, dear."
