“No.”
Even though his sniffles and sobs, Reisuke said that single words without hesitation or even a single stutter. He knew he didn’t want to live with a new family. His Mama and Papa were the only Mama and Papa for him. His main reasoning for not wanting to be adopted or taken into another household was that restraints would be put onto him. Not actual restraints, but rules he couldn’t afford to obey. He wouldn’t be allowed to fend for himself. He wouldn’t be allowed to win the Survival Game. He would die. Though, there was something so…wrong about the whole aspect. He had spent so many days, months, years, hoping that his Mama and Papa would not hate each other as much as he did. No matter what happened, he always clung to the naive hopes that they would love each other. His only wish was for them to love him. All of that was gone now…but wouldn’t throwing himself in the arms of some random strangers and labeling them as “Mama” and “Papa” be betraying both himself and his real Mama and Papa? “I’m sure your grandpa is nice and all…” Reisuke said. “but…I only want Mama and Papa.”
That no made her furrow her brow a little under her cap. She wasn't angry, it was just so sudden and clear that it destabilize her. '' Really? '' she said, unsure.
Hearing the following made it clear, the child just didn't want another mom or dad. And somehow, the way of thinking this child have, was it possible he was told his parents would come back if he wins? He seems rather young and naive. '' Listen, I do not believe you will call me a mom or my grandfather a dad... We would be happy if you prefer coming over as a guest. ''
Now, if she was right, he'd probably refuse it again. Because this game, no matter how horrifying it was, was important to him and for his goal.
