Matilda’s ears drooped and she looked at Alphonse, who nodded that it was okay to talk about her past with Manic. As the hidden robot lett her side she motioned for Manic to hide with her behind a stack of wooden crates. “There was….so much that he did to us.”

   All Manic could do was stare at he in slightly disbelief and mostly sympathy. He leans forwards and engulfs her into a firm hug.   "Using Eggman's things for good in spite of him is salt in the wound for him. Bruh, I'm so sorry you've been handled that way, you didn't deserve it. I'm freaking amazed, though. You're one strong Robian. Being able to stick it out for that long and being able to get yourself out despite the heavy circumstances that you'll have to bring with you. There are lots of Robians here but, the situation isn't really any better. However, I don't remember many of them being able to get out as easy or even surviving."    He felt so inspired by hearing what she had gone through. His heart ached for her. The way she had been tossed about through life like that from such an early age was mutiny to him.  "I'm glad you managed to make it out of there and start teaming up with others. That's very important and I'm proud of you."

Alphonse raised an eyebrow, how in the world had Robotnik managed to get their pendants if the triplets never took them off? The only person to beable to take them would be someone extremely close to the siblings….or someone very manipulative. Alphonse alowed his head yo tilt to the side as he processed all this new information while Tilly listened to the second set of words that the hedgehog spoke.

“That may be true but…” The armadillo held her arms with her gloved hands. “…I have had more than my fair share of damage caused by Robotnik. I can tell you from personal experience, Roboticization…is NOT the worst fate he can dish out to Mobians…”

“Wait…” Alphonse put up a hand to stop them as a couple alley ways down were a couple SWAT bots. “I’ll take care of them, you two find a place to hide.”

  Manic took the time to listen to her speak. His eyes widened, eliminating his usual laidback and semi tired facial expression. This girl was once robotized by Eggman. Or at least partially. This poor girl. He'd never guess what was underneath of that cloak she was wearing. He could understand why she did this.    "Y-you were partially robotized under that creep?" he quietly commented. As mush as he wanted to escalate his voice, he knew very well that using an actual outside voice in this kind of environment would mean possibly harsh consequences. Before he could say anything else, his words had been interrupted by Al's voice. He would stand next to Tilly for now, letting the other deal with the SWAT bots. He wanted to see how he would do. And if he needed to, he'll jump in.

“Regular theif and without your siblings,” Alphonse remembered that much about Manic, for goodness sake his best friend was another version of this guy. “Yeah, but I don’t get something…Sonia refused to talk about it. If you three were stronger together, why split up for so long? I get that it’s safer when you’re seperate but weren’t you three looking for the queen together?”

Matilda was silent as she and Alphonse followed Manic through the alley, the armadillo looking around the next corner to see if it was clear. Her face didn’t easily show it but, she was suddenly very much homesick. The armadillo couldn’t remember the last time she had seen her elder brothers and she missed them.

“Matty, you alright?” Alphonse had noticed the girl staring down at her feet and was quickly concerned for her.

“Physically.” The armadillo replyed quietly, looking away from the robot.

  "5 Years ago, Robotnik managed to get a hold our of pendants. I mean, we could fight without them but, they were a huge key to our power. Sonic was in trouble and if I hadn't 've jumped in when I did, he would have been killed that night. It was scary. Realizing that you had two choices. Let Sonic take care of it like he planned or jump in for him and agitate Robotik enough to lessen the blow." Manic held the same casual grin, but his eyes were sad.   "Since that day I've been running. Making sure to keep the goon on my trail and away from my siblings. I don't have speed, strength, or book smarts, but I'm pretty good with my hands so that's something. As long as my siblings are okay out there... I'll keep running. Let my siblings live in peace."   Manic turns over to Tilly.   "Hey. When this situation is over, I can make sure you two go back to your place okay. I know you both have been working very hard." He musters up a stronger smile.
