I don’t like being told that I’m just doing things for attention

I have severe anxiety and depression, my anxiety is unmedicated, and many believe that because it can’t be seen like a broken bone or someone with trouble walking that it is not disabling. Panic attacks sometimes are so horrible that I won’t speak after, so I use other ways to communicate like asl or notes, parts of my family don’t understand that my anxiety is very different from theirs. Just because it isn’t obvious like being blind doesn’t mean that it’s not there.
