š¼ Self-Regression Ideas for Self-Care Saturday š¼
So, todayās self-care Saturday. A lot of littles use age regression to cope with past trauma and/or mental illness. So for self-care Saturday, Iām going to make a list of ideas to help age regressors who may be having difficulty getting into things.
š¼Ā Watch one of your favorite movies. If you donāt have the ones you want to watch, try this siteĀ (make sure you have Adblock turned on.) Just refresh until you see something you like :D You can also try this site if you have a movie in mind that you want to look for.
š¼ Have a stuffie tea party with all your stuffie friends. Or just have a stuffie cuddle pile and hug everyone!
š¼ Take a bath with lots of bubbles! Donāt forget your rubber ducky. Anything rubber or plastic can be used as a bath toy, too.
š¼ Little foods, like mac nā cheese, dinosaur chicken nuggets, peanut butter sandwiches, grilled cheese, hot dogs (you can cut them so they look like octupuses!). Or if youād just rather have a snackā¦ cookies, goldfish crackers, bite-size fruits, fruit snacks, animal crackers, pudding, cereals, or lolipops :D Eating from a cute plate or bowl is bonus fun!
š¼ If thereās a playground nearby, go swing on the swings! Wear a cute outfit and youāll feel really good.
š¼ Fill your sippy cup with juice or your favorite drink. If you havenāt tried it, warm milk with honey (mix well!) is really yummy.
š¼ If you like to wear diapers, put one on and relax! If you like the smell of baby powder, Secret has a baby powder scented deodorant.Ā
š¼ If you like to use baby talk, whine, cry, etc., find a quiet place where you can be alone and make the sounds that come naturally. Interactive TV shows like Dora the Explorer can help you get into it.
š¼ If you find chewing on things or just having them in your mouth soothing, there are sensory chews designed for people with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder. Theyāre pretty discreet, too, so you can wear them all the time :)

ā¦and then, of course, thereās teething rings. These are better for private time, but are super cute!
š¼ Coloring is a great way to express your creativity and feel little. Doodle to your little heartās content! You can use a coloring book if you want. If you like crafts, thereās a lot of kidās crafts you can do that arenāt too difficult and lots of fun!
š¼ How about a blanket fort? These are so much fun to make! You can have your own little hideout just for you (and your stuffies, of course.)
š¼ If you have long hair, try making cute hairstyles. Put your hair up in pigtails or braids. Try out some cute hair bows or a cute hair clip.
š¼ Play dress-up! Pick out your favorite outfits and mix-n-match. Make some silly outfits that look totally ridiculous!Ā
š¼ Look at cute stuff on Amazon. Maybe startĀ a wishlist of things you like. You can even put them in categories, like a list for stuffies, a list for candy, a list for cute hair accessories, a list for dinosaur thingsā¦ Whatever you like!
