Amber gasped softly. She looked around the room she was in, and suddenly she feels empty. She offered the amulet a little smile. “Why are you helping?” She questioned, softly, “You did this.” She said, looking up at her wall of stuff. She felt compelled to hide the amulet as she changed into her riding clothes, complete with little black bows on her shoes.
She gazed back up at her wall of memories, and realized they were all from Sofia and James. She took one of the pressed flowers and then slipped it into her pocket. Perhaps this was a sign of good faith for Sofia.
She put the amulet in her pocket as well until she made it out to the stables. Lyra neighed softly, and Amber patted her nose. “Hey girl.” She murmured. “You up for a ride?” She asked, setting her saddle up. Naturally, it was for her to ride side saddle. (she was still a princess after all.) She looked sadly back at the castle, and felt bad for Ivy. She didn’t deserve to go back to the island, didn’t anyone see that it would only make it worse? She fished out the amulet and put it on. "Well, how do I start?" She asked, with a sigh. Realizing she was talking to a rock, she set off into the forest, relying on her heart to guide her.
Glowing gently, Elena placed another blessing on Amber to reward her for her perseverance and bravery- the ability to talk to animals.
The only problem now was to actually find an animal. Ever since Princess Ivy had turned Enchancia dark and cold, all of the forest fauna had left for Winter Woods, or other far off kingdoms. There was barely any life, save for a few mice here and there.
Morgana nodded sympathetically. “And what do you think she’s going to try to do? This bruja, Shuriki, is her vendetta against you or your family or your country or is she just a crazy witch looking for a chance to cause some chaos?” Part of her was asking the questions to play the part, but another part was genuinely curious. She’d never heard of this Shuriki, but perhaps she could be a swayed into an alliance should it prove beneficial for the two of them.
"My the council all thinks that she just wants to cause trouble, but I can tell that she has ulterior motives. Shuriki has a... pattern to what she destroys. I don't think she attacks just to cause havoc, but each and every one of her actions are thought out." Elena mused. "There was one farming town where she attacked, but rather then simply making a mess and scaring people, the bruja burned all their crops and resources, which has took a huge toll on the welfare of our country."

"Well sit, sit, child," Morgana said, gesturing again to the chair on the other side of the table. Her plan would do no good if the girl weren’t comfortable around her, and that meant playing the doting matronly figure. She had far too much practice in that. "Tell me just what it is you’d like to ask of me."
Slightly comforted by Morgana's mannerisms, Elena loosened up a little and smiled gently, walking around to sit down like the sorceress wanted.
"A few months ago in our kingdom of Avalor, rumors began to spread of an evil witch attacking. It started out in the country, with random farmers reporting that they had seen her. Nobody believed them at first, but since then, sightings of the bruja have been more and more often, making up believe that she's going to try to do something horrible soon." Elena explained worriedly. "I just... I just need some help so that I can protect my family from Shuriki when the time comes... if it comes."

"Well, I mean, I used to,” Hiro replied uneasily, unhappily remembering his unfond memories of the place.
"Used to?" Elena questioned, raising an eyebrow. "You're like, a freshman. Did you transfer to a different high school?" She asked in confusion.
Amber sighed gently, and took the necklace off. “I’m talking to a rock.” She said, and put it down on the shelf. “I am talking to a rock.” She repeated, and took of her tiara, replacing it with a lightly more exciting one. “What’s so special about some amulet anyway?” She asked, “Just because you can summon princesses doesn’t make you special! Why don’t you just summon Sofia back here?” She asked, picking the necklace up again. “You’ve never had any trouble finding her before.” She murmured.
She put the necklace back on. “You are pretty.” She sighed, softly. “Really pretty…I’ll give you that. Too bad purple’s not really my colour.” She said, gently. Yellows and warm tones had always been her colours.
Had, being the key word of course, now her colour was grey. If one wanted to think meanings, (as Amber often had) she assumed that the amulet changed her to grey rather than black and white for the same reason it only changed one of her eyes.
She didn’t want to give the stone the satisfaction of knowing she could be saved because she didn’t want to be. She was happy.
Right?
Elena's heart softened as she heard sadness in the little girl's voice. From what she could tell, it had been a long time since Amber was truly filled with joy. Princess Ivy's colorless world was making the land worse than any before- even Avalor, back when the witch Shuriki was trying to take over.
Finally giving in, Elena decided to give Amber a blessing, and a way to undo the curses upon both her and Enchancia. Using all of her strength, Elena used her magic to summon up what she could of little Priness Sofia- an image of her in the amulet.
All that Amber had to do was find find Sofia, sacrifice herself for her, and help bring down Ivy. Although it seemed difficult, Elena was sure it could be done. The animals were probably hiding Sofia, or at least knew where she was. Amber would have to gain the power to talk to the forest creatures, and have them guide her to the little girl in the purple gown.

"Hello!" Honey Lemon waved at the princess, "Ooh, it’s such an honor meeting you! Wow, you’re even more radiant in person!" She smiled and curtsied a little bit. She didn’t know much about how to behave around royalty, so she was a little bit more enthusiastic than she had intended to be.

"Oh! Uh, thanks." Elena smiled, chuckling at the chemist's energy. Flipping her rich brown hair over her shoulder, the princess curtseyed back properly, an animated smile on her face. "It's nice to meet you too, Miss Miyazaki!"
Extraordinary magic and abilities. That was flattery at its finest if Morgana had ever heard it—the rumor mill had served her well. She smiled as she nodded, gesturing to the adjoining chair at the table she had been seated at. “Perhaps you have heard some exaggeration, but I am no stranger to the magical arts,” she said as she seated herself again. “And I can’t help but wonder why it is you’ve come, I assume, to seek my help with something?”
"Sí, I have come to you for assistance." Elena admitted, boldly taking a step forward. Although the princess had heart countless stories of Morgana's talents, she'd also been warned by a few of the woman's spite. Trying to be polite, the girl curtseyed awkwardly.

Hiro pushed out his lower lip, looking up and rubbing his neck as he tried to recall her face.
”I don’t think I can remember, really.”
"Uh... Do you go to San Fransokyo Public High?" Elena asked, tilting her head slightly to the side as she thought.
"I’m not sure if they’re a secret admirer or a stalker… but at least they have good taste in gifts."
"Oh my…" The monarch chuckled nervously. "That’s…interesting…"
"Yeah, it really is." Elena chuckled, holding the dainty golden chain against her neck. "Although to be honest, I really hope that the sender is just an admirer and not a stalker."
Amber scowled at the amulet, and put Ivy’s box back up on the dresser. She studied the purple stone. It had so much depth to it, like she could see mountains and rivers within it’s center. She hated it, like she hated anything attached to Sofia.
The gem seemed warm in her hands, and even pleasant to hold. She looked, for a moment like she might stick it back in the box and hide it. But she didn’t. She decided to put it with the rest of her souvenirs. (thats what she told herself at least) and put Ivy’s box away with the necklace she burrowed on the inside, rather than the amulet. She tossed the amulet in the air, and caught it, before she wrapped the chain around it and made a fist to cover it, and slowly made her way into her bedroom.
She went into her wardrobe, and put the amulet on a shelf next to a few various things she’d collected. Like the patch Miranda gave her when they first moved in, a painted pine cone from their sleepover, her fan with Prince Hugo on it, a flower from the necklace they’d gotten on their adventure with the carpet and her crown that the wishing well changed, to name a few. She set the amulet down but it didn’t look right. So she put it one, and place one hand on it gently. “Why did you do this?” She asked, softly. “I saved Sofia.”
Elena didn't bother to grace Amber with a response, still upset over the little girl's betrayal of her best friend. Sure, she had helped Sofia escape, but the only reason why Sofia was in so much trouble was all because of Amber. If only the blonde had jumped in front of Sofia and saved her, Elena would have been able to reverse all of the damage taken and undo the curse. But now, she had to cast another curse on the little girl as the rest of the kingdom fell to shreds.
Taking no action, Elena stopped the amulet's flow of warmth, pouting.
"He loves me, he loves me not… oh."

” HA! That’s what you get for dealing with love. ”
"Oh, that's alright. It's just a silly game that means nothing." Elena shrugged, dropping the naked flower to the ground before looking up at the girl standing before her.
"Good Morrow, Princess Elana!"
"Buenos días, Princess Jade!" Princess Elena chirped with a kind smile, bending down at the waist so that she could speak eye-to-eye with the little girl. "¿Cómo estás?"
She blushed. “Oh, thank you.” She said with a blush.
"De nada." Elena smiled, straightening up. "Now come on Jade, let's go get some hot chocolate!"
"Good Morrow, Princess Elana!"
"Buenos días, Princess Jade!" Princess Elena chirped with a kind smile, bending down at the waist so that she could speak eye-to-eye with the little girl. "¿Cómo estás?"
"Can I? I’ve never been in a regal place, well, other than Sofia’s castle."
"Of course!" Reaching up, Elena gently removed her golden tiara from her hair and placed it atop Jade's head. "Wow, you look beautiful Princessa Jade!"
"Good Morrow, Princess Elana!"
"Buenos días, Princess Jade!" Princess Elena chirped with a kind smile, bending down at the waist so that she could speak eye-to-eye with the little girl. "¿Cómo estás?"
"I like the tiara. It’s super pretty!"
"¡Gracias!" Elena smiled cheerfully down at the little girl. "Would you like to try it on?"
