Toby sat there taking a sip of the drink in front of him, he was impressed by this girls attitude. He sat there looking over at the girl and laughed a little, “Well you should get used to it.” He stated as he ran a hand through his hair for a moment and nodded, the girl seemed pretty well off, from a fancy family so she figured what she would wanted “Okay I think I can do that.” He stated before getting the guys attention and ordering her a drink. As he sat there the drinks were delivered and saw her take the drink and smiled, “Well it’s a vodka martini, did I do well?” He asked looking over at the girl for a moment, “Crystal, nice name. do you wear a lot of Crystals? I’m Toby! My parents didn’t like me enough to give me a fancy name.” 

Crystal sat there looking over at the guy who had taken the opportunity to try and flirt with her. She laughed a little and nodded, “Maybe I will.” She smirked up at him looking over at him for a moment, as she watched the drinks arrive and laughed and nodded, “Oh well I am impressed, very impressed.” She laughed a little as she took a hold of the glass and spun the olive around for a bit and then took a sip of it as she heard his response to her name, “No, who do you think I am? Some fancy girl who wears expensive items. Nice to meet you Toby, well you got stuck with the ordinary name, unlucky for you.”

Toby was sure that he recognised the girl but it didn’t matter if he did if he couldn't’ get her to see that he was worth the chance. He sat there next ot her as he drank his drink and kept his eye on the girl as he ran a hand through his hair and smiled, as he laughed a little, “Well yeah you are beautiful, are you putting yourself down? Second of all I don’t need to try and impress you, I will impress you. Just you wait.” He smiled and nodded, “Well let me get you a drink then.” He smiled as he signalled to the bar man and ordered two drinks, “So are you going to give me a name or are you just going to be stubborn all night?”

Crystal was sitting there, she wasn’t sure what was going on, she spends most of her time on blind dates and not being approached by guys but she was sick of being set up by her parents. As the guy sat there looking over at him, she laughed a little, “Never said I was putting myself down just don’t usually hear that from others.” She shrugged for a moment and laughed a little, “Well if you think you will impress me, order me a drink.. but it has to be one you think I will like without asking anyone questions.” She raised her eyebrows as she glanced over at him for a moment, “Hmm well I will think about it. Whats this drink?” She laughed a little, “My name is Crystal and you are?”

Toby was always the party one, all his friends knew he was and he would never deny it and neither did he wanted to, he liked the idea of it being his thing because it just made every weekend fun for him. Of course he was a hard worker, being a Yale student, he was always spending the weekdays focusing on college but the weekends were the times he could lay back and have fun and party when ever he wanted to without worrying about anything. 

That night he had decided to go to this bar where he had gone once or twice with his mates and thought it would be a good place to just hang out and have fun with the guys that night. He didn’t know what could happen but that was always the best part of the nights was the unknown and mystery. He sat there on his second drink he had when he saw a girl, a girl he had recognised but had no clue why and who she was but she sparked his attention. As she took a seat at the bar, he left his mates to walk up to her and smiled a little, “Well Hello Beautiful, here all alone?”

Crystal wasn’t really used to the crowd like this she wasn’t really sure what to expect from this, but this was the closst bar to campus and she felt that she had to do anything to get away from that failure of a set up from her parents. She saw the drink being passed to her and she took a hold of it and smiled for a moment and thanked the bar man. As she sat there looking around, she heard a guys voice who sat next to her and she was a bit confused but then she recognised him from school, he went to Yale. She smiled a little taking a sip of her drink and shrugged, “First off beautiful really? Trying to impress me with the classic words as beautiful? Well it looks like it doesn’t it.” She stated looking over at him as she ran a hand through her hair.

Crystal had been set up from her parents for the past two years and bearing in mind she was only 21, she felt like she didn’t need to settle down anytime soon, she was too busy focusing on trying to be an author, making her dream come true was more important to her then tryin to settle down but her parents wouldn’t listen to her. It was friday night and her parents had made her come home for dinner from college and she knew the reason was because she had invited a guy over to theirs who could be another suiter. 

As she was sitting there at dinner going through the same old boring conversations that she hated going through, she sat there putting her hand through her hair and sighed before looking at her mom and then the guy, he was not someone she wanted to even imagine a future with, yes he was smart, yes he had a good future ahead of him but it was not what she wanted. So after dinner, she quickly ran out of hte house and booked a cab without saying to her mom or dad or the guy who was there. She took a cab to the bar and as she got there, she walked in and ordered a cocktail and looked around at the vibe and the people there.
