Oswald looked at the girl for a moment, stepped off stage with a mic and handed it to her. Smiling a bit, he mouthed the words âDonât worry.â to her. Looking back at the audience, he gave them a look, secretly motioning to the guy at the soundboard to turn on the trick microphone. Itâd make her sound amazing, even if she didnât do very well. The kid needed some confidence, it seemed.
âAlright,â he said with a sigh, âLetâs do this.â
As the music started playing, Oswald sang a bit of âTomorrowâ from Annie, hoping the kid knew the words.
Though she spent most of her time studying, Dot did indulge in the occasional movie binge, and she happened to love musicals. So, when the music started playing a familiar tune, she let out the breath sheâd been holding. She had this. âThe sun will come out...tomorrow...bet your bottom dollar that...tomorrow, thereâll be sun! Just thinkinâ about...tomorrow...clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow...til thereâs none!â
