The bandages hadn’t gone ignored during their conversation - quite the opposite, really. It’s one of those things you try not to focus on, but can’t help being drawn to. The Queen had wanted to ask, but refrained. But now that memories were shuffling in her mind, she couldn’t help but stare as it was pointed out.
She definitely didn’t have these bandages before…
“Oh, Prophet…” There was concern and pity in her voice, and instinctively the Queen made to reach out, her initial reaction to try and heal her. She even attempted, for a moment, but her magic was quickly blocked as it usually did these days, and she was forced to pull her hand back. Likely for the best, at the moment, given there were more pressing matters to focus on.
Taking a breath, she instead stood, and reached a hand out to the prophetess. “Lets get moving, then. Was there a method you had in mind in particular, or…?” She bit her lip slightly, recalling that the last time she left herself so open to Prophet’s emotional energy, things didn’t pan out so well. While there wasn’t any guarantee it would happen again, given how the two of them had been at the time, it was still a daunting prospect. Even more so now that she was expecting, making the Queen especially worried.
But it wasn’t like they had many options. She needed to find Ravenel, and Ice King was the only person she knew to start with. After all, there had to be a reason why he didn’t mention the young grey before, right? The possibility that he at least had an idea of where to find her was high, and she couldn’t pass that up.
She just hoped she wouldn’t regret it…
The Prophetess ground her teeth slightly at the pity in the Queen’s voice. That’s the last thing she wanted right now--even if the intention was good. She already knew the Queen’s healing wouldn’t work before she even tried. Not only because the Queen’s powers were drained--but also because the Prophet’s anatomy was very complex. Most healing didn’t work on her anyways, especially on her face. She tried desperately not to let her emotions become too bitter-- she wasn’t the focus here, after all.
“ Well, I do have a general method. Normally this would be difficult, but my energy is flowing out of my body quite easily right now.”
Noticing the Queen’s hesitation and worrisome expression the Prophetess gave a small smile.
“ There’s no need to worry, Queen, this will be very easy.”
She reached out her hand and grabbed the Queen’s gingerly, drawing it towards her face and damaged eye. With her free hand she unwrapped the bandage around her head, careful to keep her eyes hidden under her unruly bangs.
“ Now don’t be alarmed at what you feel. This energy is quite potent but i’ll only lend you a bit. ”
She brought the Queen’s hand up so the tips of her fingers just barely hovered over her wound. Direct contact wasn’t even necessary--the Prophetess’ energy nipped at the Queen’s fingers, creating a similar feeling to someone who is holding their hand near a very loud speaker. The Queen would feel the energy flow into her immediately, and at an almost alarmingly fast rate. The Prophetess made sure to keep her hand at a close proximity, but far enough not to completely overwhelm her.
