Do you know the deal behind Dark Almaz? He looks cool but I know nothing about him, All I know is that he was from Makai Wars and that's it...
Aaaaight!!! Long post incoming, I may misremember/misunderstand some things-
From what I could gather from my japanese understanding + machine translation, it starts with Almaz remembering the times where he was supposed to be strong/protecting Sapphire but instead ended up getting beaten up or ridiculed, and blames himself for being weak and "not enough". However he's suddenly interrupted by Mao taking his scarf away for some wacky experiments
and ends up looking like this (he looks naked without it oh my god XD)
He goes to Mao's lab to take it back but notices that his "scarf" has become dark purple, and says something like "Dark Purple? Perhaps it fits how weak I am.."
However, this scarf makes him act all like a typical honor student, specifically focusing on wanting to "become stronger". He skips one of champloo's classes because "sitting around wont help him become stronger", then proceeds to eat Stella's kimchee XD LIKE HE STRAIGHT UP TELLS HER "The weak have no right to complain" OH MY GOD.
After this he comes across two students fighting over an item (which i dont remember" and interrupts them, saying how he's gonna try and take it away from them, however, he's confronted by Salvatore and Big Star and he's thinking about having to use force if needed to take said item, but ends up chickening out last minute XD
Sapphire notices how weird he's been acting lately so she goes to find him, only to find him bullying an underleveled eryngi HAHAHAHA OH MY GOD- saying things like "Come on! Defend yourself! haha!" Sapphire confronts him saying something that's no way to show strength and that he's not weak, and he becomes offended. He goes on a ramble saying stuff like "More power more power more power more power- I will become stronger than everyone!" and woop- he's here
I am nosebleeding SO HARD- *HUFF HUFF DROOL*
Oh right I forget Asagi was here IM SORRY HSAHDH- thing is, Sapphire and Asagi retreat, thinking about why has Almaz turned like this and a way to solve it. Asagi mentions his power of a hero, which makes Sapphire get an idea on how to confront him!
They both head to Mao's lab, explaining the situation and Mao reveals that Almaz is acting all odd because of the scarf, aka "The scarf of Lament/Grief", which is fueled by Aurum's power- which explains his whole monologue of "becoming stronger", and his original scarf was there all along. Sapphire wears his scarf to obtain the power of a hero and finally confront him
The evil academy folks (Beryl, Salvatore, Champloo, etc...) all gather together to cheer on Sapphire on bringing Almaz back, and Beryl teases Mao over him being embarrassed XD, he insists he wants to see the "Hero VS Hero" battle unfold to research it (Geez Mao always so stubborn....)
So they head to the old school building, where Sapphire confronts him in a Battle to make him come back, Darkmaz acts all cocky over how he's strong and whatnot...LIKE HE EVEN SAYS HOW HE WANTS TO TAKE OVER EVIL ACADEMY AND TURN IT INTO A SCHOOL OF HEROES AHHHH- i wanna punch him (positive)
Sapphire eventually tries speaking to him, saying how she never saw him as weak and says how its the scarf making him act all weird, Darkmaz seems to succumb to his heart resonating for a moment, backtracking right after, and that's where Mao tells Sapphire to cut/destroy the Scarf of Lament while he's distracted, she does so. Regular Almaz comes back, he doesn't remember a thing and Sapphire gives him his scarf back, he's then thankful for everyone for saving him. He also thanks Mao for helping, to which he replies with "oh i just didnt want him causing any trouble in the school" (Sapphire literally mentions how her armor is also fueled by Mao's feelings XDDD)
Mao then mentions how he wasn't saved by the scarf itself, but because of the feelings inbetween or something like that- I already got tired of trying to understand kanji...
He and Sapphire end up saying typical lovey dovey couple things to eachother but she then orders him to do a 100 push ups HAHAHAH can't blame her honestly-
But yeah that's about it! That's the story of Dark Almaz and Sapphire's heroic shenanigans -w-
