INTRODUCTORY

IN THE SHOW:
Leo Lovebug, affectionately nicknamed "Paws", was a background character of the Smiling Critters show who had no real purpose in it other than being a librarian. He served as a major character in one episode called "Reading Rocks!", where he taught the Critters the importance of reading books.
However, popularity spiked, and eventually, his own toy line and book series formed.

THE CHARACTER:
Leo Lovebug was approved for the Bigger Bodies Iniative when Playtime Co. decided they needed a librarian, as well as another caretaker for the children. They used an employee who didn't know about the program at all and turned him into the Bigger Bodies version of Leo against his will. All he remembers about his life before the procedure is that he was a babysitter who liked books. Not his name, not his family, none of it.
Leo stands at a whopping 8 feet tall- maybe more, considering his constant slouch thanks to chronic pain- and carries around a young critter named Harley Hyena. When the Hour of Joy hit, he was watching her for her caretaker, another critter. He took her and hid in the vents, where he didn't come out for days. That's the only reason either of them survived.
Now, years later, the two have stuck together.
Leo is a hunched, twisted frame of what he used to be- avoiding the prototype’s influence as best he can while carrying around a healing Harley. His lower jaw is ripped off, hes held together by stitches, and he bears countless scars from all the times he’s fought other toys.
Leo is not inherently hostile. Mistrusting of others due to circumstances, but he’s made an ally or two in Poppy, Doey, and any other neutral aligning toys. However, this stability is forged- Leo uses uncanny strength and brute force to maintain his life, leaving him similar to Doey in the sense that nobody fucks with him because they’d be eaten alive in mere moments.
After the Safe Haven’s collapse, he’s forged a bit of a safe-place a few floors above- Playtime Co’s old library, where he typically resided, barricaded and held shut by whatever he can find. You can come seek aid and shelter, if your intentions are right.

The character is 39, almost 40, but please be respectful and avoid nsfw or overly suggestive asks! The mod doesn't like those topics. Leo's one cuddly boy, but he's about a bell pepper on the scoville spice scale.
