Apathy: The Modern American's Nemesis

Sometimes the most dangerous things can be the least threatening.

I recently realized that I’ve become apathetic, just like so many other Americans who don’t take a stand for their beliefs and basic human rights because A) it doesn’t affect them and/or B) they believe it’s a hopeless cause. I think it’s time that we realize that neither of these things is true and that our apathy is our own nemesis.  If we don’t watch out, it will harm us.
