Odd for him to be having an arranged marriage or a marriage at all. He still recalled studying at the Jedi Temple. Learning about the restrictions on Jedi and adhering to them piece by piece—

This was an entirely different undertaking.

The advisors had made the decision on the bride. The elected Queen of Naboo, someone of considerable influence and well liked by the people. It would create a stronger alliance with Naboo for Lekchmy so Ma’Havyr had agreed. They had traveled to Naboo and Ma’Havyr noted the architecture of the building. A palace which had seen a battle, he remembered well.

They were ushered into the throne room, two of the Med’Yai standing guard in front, two behind and Ma’Havyr flanked by four advisors. They came to a stop in front of the Queen and the announcement was made. Ma’Havyr’s party moved to allow him to come to the front of the group and he gave a serene smile which reached his green eyes and a slight bow of his head.

“It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Queen Ailsa.”

when the guests entered the court room ailsa smiled to them as she dipped her head in a bow as well, walking forward to greet ma’havyr herself. once she stood before the male ailsa extends her hand to him, smile didn’t fade. the young queen had to make a good impression upon him, or this arranged gathering would never work if they went in with negative attitudes or feelings, no matter how uneasy she felt int his moment.

❛ the pleasure is all mine, sir ma’havyr. i welcome you to naboo and i hope everything has gone smoothly for you and your party. ❜ ailsa gives his hand a firm shake before releasing it, looking around the court for a moment, trying to decide what to do next. it’s not like she could get to know him right here, not with all these beady eyes watching her-- them. a more secluded area was definitely needed.

ailsa folds her hands in front of her, eyes on ma’havyr. smile appearing upon her features once more. taking a breath in, ailsa straightens her spine. ❛ would you like to go on a tour of my gardens? it’s far too stuffy in here and i think it’s too nice of a day to stay in doors, don’t you? ❜
