i'm so insane about Tucker and Caboose's relationship, guys, driving myself crazy about Tucker and Caboose, hello, can anyone hear me. remember in the early seasons when the six core characters had almost parallel dynamics in that Grif and Simmons got along fine unless Sarge was there to gang up on Grif, while Tucker and Caboose got along fine unless Church was there to gang up on Caboose? remember when Church died and Tucker and Caboose were just homies hanging out? "oh, that's funny!" "yeah? you didn't think it was too obvious?" "no, no, not at all. it was good." remember when Church came back and fucked that all up? anyone else think about their relationship deteriorating as the seasons progressed, probably largely due to the way Tucker could so easily turn on Caboose just because Church was around, until Caboose outright and openly disliked Tucker so much that he'd purposefully leave Tucker out of the stories he told Epsilon?

anyone else think about how gentle Washington was with Caboose, so unlike the way Church treated him, and how much that probably influenced the way Tucker treated Caboose after Chorus? anyone else ever think about how having Washington around probably reframed so much of how Tucker viewed Caboose? like how under duress Washington might mix up Tucker and Carolina due to their armor color and his memory issues, not unlike how Caboose used to mix up Church and Washington after Sidewinder. or when Washington tells Tucker about his friend Agent Iowa, and the cognitive issues he suffered after an air circulation problem with his armor, and Tucker has to remember that Caboose had a similar issue--what they'd all very lightheartedly referred to as 'the breath-holding competition'. or the several examples Carolina and Washington would have of the AI fragments causing problems for them and several of their former teammates.

imagine Tucker on Iris reconciling that Caboose used to be a guy who cracked sex jokes, and back-talked Church, and called Texas a cow, and was all in all just as much of an asshole as the rest of them, and the reason Caboose isn't like that anymore is not because he's stupid, it's because of the staggering amount of brain damage Caboose would have sustained from oxygen deprivation, and O'Malley, and all the times he'd hit his head. remember how quick Tucker is to come to Caboose's defense after their time on Iris? from Dylan: "i miss Church." "you mean the Epsilon AI?" "no. he means Church." and from Temple: "it's okay, i know Church is still out there." "really? you think so?" "stop it." and "maybe if you all didn't treat him like some big baby, he would understand something as simple as death." "i'll give him a real world example if you unlock this fucking cell!" guys, i'm thinking about Tucker and Caboose, and i'm insane about it.
