I am a HUGE hockey fan! This is my hockey hyperfixation blog but I also use it as a kind of place to just chat about things going on in my life. I do lots of live blogging (typically just Sharks right now, but other teams might pop up) and sprinkle in random rants*. For non hockey things, I also blog about my life as a whole. I may or may not begin to post my writing, as I’m still deciding, but I’ll update if needed. PLEASE interact with me (like messages or asks) if you feel up to it— I LOVE talking to people but am incredibly anxious. I am trying to break out of my lurking shell but it’s not going great 😭 I get heart palpitations every time I post a comment

*Please note that these rants aren’t typically meant to be super constructive or covering all bases of every conversation, but always feel free to drop a comment / ask and discuss with me! I understand I can be dense or not know the full picture all the time. I just have lots of feelings and want to share them. But I also will keep my peace and will delete + block. My brother just caused a crash and I straight up just dipped and walked 20 mins to work— I didn’t even wait a minute, I just straight up got out of the car, made sure the person in the other car knew I had work and was GONE.

i think my first ever rpf being kpop caused me to see a group and immediately claim polyamory which has only prompted some... unusual wishes once i got into sports

His eyes are so blue it’s INSANE— like in that recent sharks video I literally understood nothing bc I was too busy shrinking in absolute fear of his EYES 👁️👁️ i lowkey also wish I had those eyes too though just cuz I think it would be funny as shit cuz I have a staring problem sometimes… the fear I would cause 🔥

I just accidentally ripped out my nose piercing at almost 2 am and couldn’t fix it so now I need to wait for my parents to wake up and see my texts to fix it for me

Great news! I forgot my mom wakes up late at night sometimes and subsequently saw my texts and also woke up my dad to help. Terrible news, they couldn’t fix it. And my dad dropped the actual aesthetic part of it into the toilet brush.

So now I have the back part of it inside out in my nose (so the actual backing is pointing outwards), with a bandaid on my nose. Because, ENDS UP, nose piercings can close within minutes if not hours and it will not hold up enough time to get to the shop. So currently it is backwards and STUCK there. I’m likely not going to sleep bc that was a terrible time but who knows atp.

Working at a animal foundation is lowkey kinda depressing. These dogs— all big— are stuck in a single room all day and all night, with their only full exercise being getting walks. They bark all the time and constantly have a thousand watts of energy bouncing around up there— hell, part of my job is to literally sit with them and try to connect with them because they’re stir crazy and need connection. But the unfortunate news is that this is likely the best option for these guys. The kennel is tightly packed and full of barking dogs— with these dogs specific issues (being super anxious, being super dog aggressive, requiring special food, etc) it would be even worse than it would be for the every day dog. The only option that’s better than the foundation is literal adoption. But no one wants to adopt them. No one even wants to foster. For pinky, one of the dogs, she literally got fostered only for the foster mom to decide that she didn’t want pinky “getting attached” and leaving her at the foundation. It’s heart breaking just walking the same white walls and just seeing the same dogs in the same rooms, barking at the same people just cuz they walked past the glass. Every time I sit with cooper, all I see is the scratch marks on the door from where he obviously scratched at it. But he can’t be allowed to walk about— he’s super dog aggressive and there’s a whole vet in the same building. I wish I could take every single one of them but it’s not viable at all. And no one else wants to take them because they’re high(er) maintenance dogs. Because they’re bigger dogs. Because they’re spotty with fur, because they’re jumpy, because they’re not “worth it”. I go a little stir crazy in that building— staring at the white walls, the same clunking of metal cages, the same scrubs, the same rooms— I can’t imagine what it’s like to be suspended to the same room. To seeing only what’s outside of a glass panel in a door for hours and hours at a time, the only salvation being a— at max— thirty minute walk.
