So I appreciate that seeing beloved Batfamily characters reduced to stereotypes is frustrating af, but can we also appreciate that not everyone in the fandom has had access to 80+ years of comics history to get full, rounded ideas of the characters and some of us have to rely on fandom and whatever scraps of comics we were handed down from a second cousin ten years ago?

I didn't know that Jason Todd was a bookworm until last month, because all I had to go on was a battered copy of Death In the Family and the Under the Red Hood movie.

I didn't know Tim Drake never finished high school until today.

My point is, share all the little details about the Batfamily. Please. Share them joyously. Spread the love for these characters and your favourite representations of them.

But also like ... have a little patience for the newbies and casuals in the fandom. Have patience for the people frantically piecing their knowledge together and making mistakes. We're excited to learn, don't chase us off!
