YUP THE MYSTRADEEEEEEEEE
Sherlock Holmes is such a fascinating hyperfixation to have because he’s literally everywhere. Every time I get invested in a new media I start a little mental “Time until Sherlock Holmes referenced” counter and it very rarely gets very far at all. Goes for real life too. He’s so ubiquitous, and so well loved, that he’s entirely inescapable, and I love that fact almost as much as I love him.
truly The Character of all time
MYSTRADE YES
Sherlock gave compliments to the other detectives and scotland yard officers regularly which I thought was cute. The way the men would become flustered and shy too like 'omg coming from you? im so honoured' lol.
oh soviet sherlock holmes i love you. i love your silly prankster holmes who is still kind and polite and caring. i love your very sweet, a little bumbling and yet smart and capable watson. i love the way you allow those two to be so physically affectionate with each other, and i love the way they look at each other like the other hung the moon and the stars. i love your mrs hudson who's such a delight and always up to participate in one of sherlock’s schemes. i love your baskervilles adaptation specifically - the gloomy atmosphere, sir henry, the double hug holmes and watson share when reunited!! i love the emotion the characters have and are not afraid to show at any given time. i love your comedic genius lestrade. i love
Me explaining to Conan Doyle why it's vital that I draw Sherlock and John making out crazy style to keep the future generations interested in his works
sometimes i forget that bbc sherlock is an award-winning series and was consumed by a lot of general audiences when it was airing and most people that i casually reference it around still praise it and isn’t in fact just a niche little tv show with some small actors (one actor in particular) that i really like alongside 13 other people who are also really into literary theory
Accurate 💯
World's most bisexual man is lulled to sleep by his flatmate just to dream about a woman he met twenty-four hours ago. (This is the greed they talk about in the bible.)
The Sign of the Four by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Being in the Sherlock Holmes fandom is so funny to me. In other fandoms I see people arguing about characters skintone, hair style/colour, age, race, ect. Meanwhile, there are so many Sherlock Holmes adaptions and reimaginings out there where I can scroll and see Holmes as an asian woman, Holmes as a magical girl, Holmes as a Russian, Holmes as a fucking mouse/dog and Holmes as an anime character and just be like: yep... that's good.

music is so fun when you’re running around your room thinking “OMG THIS IS SO SHERLOCK AND JOHN.”
It's been a while since my last bff post, so here's me going feral about the start of "The Creeping Man" and their reaction to it
