Welcome to my lab! In the northwestern edges of Solaceon Town, right at the base of Mount Coronet, I spend my time working and studying different natural remedies, as well as my focus on Pokémon anatomy and Pokémon relations with humans and even other Pokémon.
The lab is fueled by natural sources, the main two are geothermal vents and hydroelectric, as a stream isn’t too far away. Our electricity is off grid in case of emergency. Too many people come here looking for help when disaster strikes, so we have to be prepared.
A lot of our research is based on human-Pokémon psychology and behavior, as well as health and wellness between the two. Some Pokémon, especially ones like Miltank or Gogoat or even Mareep have byproducts we humans can use, such as milk or wool. But did you know that ancient civilizations used Frosmoth scales to keep their food cold, and even some used Walrein blubber as food?
Here at the lab, I have a team of Pokémon dedicated to helping with health and wellness for other Pokémon. We are a hybrid homeopathic and rehabilitative facility that helps Pokémon in need, and use a blend of known herbal or naturalistic remedies with modern medical innovations. And one of these ways to help is starting with nutrition; preventive state is ideal, but some emergent stuff requires correcting diet for healing.
One of the other major studies is ecological impact. How does the environment of humans impact the environment of Pokémon, and vice versa. We work hard with Pokémon Rangers to try and fix problems that may arise, but we work more locally than other Rangers might.
We’re also fairly new, having started up only within the past three or four months, but I assure you this team of experts can handle most anything thrown our way and always willing to lend a hand.
Anyhow, onto my personal team of Pokémon! Each one is especially good at helping with certain aspects of the restorative process.
My Ursaring, Barry. While he wouldn’t be the first guess as a therapeutic or healer type Pokémon, he has a goofy and sweet disposition, never known to be a grump. He is great at encouraging play when needed, and has the strength to protect injured or healing Pokémon. A trusted friend since my childhood, I’d be lost without him.
Leon is a very chill Pokémon, he likes to help out more with gardening special herbs and berries for medicine. He also helps ferment certain berries, much like any Shuckle would, though he helps create special brews for certain issues. For example, as he creates fermented juice, most of them have a probiotic nature to them, and can be added to other Pokémon’s diets to aid in GI recovery. He is also great at keeping others calm and tends to wander the garden too with Pokémon who need to take it slow. Don’t take him for granted, he’s a tough cookie, and with his Power Swap can easily take down other Pokémon with a good old switcheroo.
While I do love my little Greedent, Conks, he’s not the brightest Pokémon in the world. However, it really is due to his own natural behavior that he’s helpful. Whenever I’m personally feeling lazy and don’t want to go out and pick berries, nine times out of ten he’s already started hoarding them. If he’s not hiding them in his tail, then he’s stashing them in his favorite tree. Makes it a lot easier to find berries when I need them in a pinch. However, he is a good and loyal Pokémon I can’t see being away from my side, unless he’s napping off a meal of fresh Lepa berries.
A true empath at heart, Felicity has the ability to help other Pokémon emotionally. Whether through grief, physical trauma, or separation, Felicity is great with the emotions of other Pokémon, and even people. If a child loses their Pokémon due to unforeseen phenomena, I can always count on her to be there to help them. She is also great at helping Pokémon that fly with getting better again through physical therapy in aerodynamic capacities. It really goes to show how great a Togekiss can be!
Well anyhow, that’s all for now on my lab, don’t be afraid to stop and say hi!
