Reggaeton

Reggaeton is a Spanish hip hop. This first originated from Puerto Rico. This is a rare type of music because it includes signing and rap. In English those can be to type of genres but in reggaeton they consider it one genre. One of the biggest artist that everyone probably knows is Daddy Yankee. Daddy Yankee is an older artist but is the most notable one in America his well-known song that everyone knows is probably Gasolina or impacto with fergie. This type of music has become a very popular genre in America being played in many parties and there are many concerts that get held mostly in florida or in the western states and sometimes  New York were the hispanic population is high. The music is mostly underground there are very few industry artists that prevail from the genre. This is genre has spread to many other hispanic countries. The dominican republic,venezuela, spain, colombia,spain and many more.  I like this specific type of  music because it is from my home land puerto rico but i can be different I usually listen to mostly rap. My favorite artist in rap is Meek Mill who is a very good industry artist. My favorite artist in reggaeton is Farruko he is a very good spanish rapper I relate to both of these artist because growing open we had the same surroundings they speak the truth and not just what everyone wants to hear. The reason I don't like to listen to other artists because they rap and sing about fairy tale things. Reggaeton also has very good rhythm. Some will argue that it's the same beat over and over but that is not true there are a couple songs with the same beat but most of them are different. With this type of music there are always new and up and coming artists that's the case in every genre but I feel they artists don't succeed as much as young artist do in reggaeton. In this genre the reap and sing about drugs violence sex and all that it's cool just to here to different languages and be able to enjoyed the song. Many people cant understand two languages so I take advantage of that and enjoy the music

Bonus Blog

Do you exercise on a daily base? If you are between the ages of 18-64 years old you should be exercising at least two and a half hours a week. If you are between the ages of six to seventeen you should be getting 60 minutes or more a day of physical activity.If you start to get a routine of working out early in your life you will be use to it when you grow up.  You can step your self up for success with your help with physical activity. You can exercise with many different activities. You can use sports,cardio,weight training,crossfit and etc.

Many people find great exercise in sports. The reason being is because your having fun doing something you like. A workout shouldn't be boring or something you hate. It should be something you enjoy doing and if you wanted to do it all day you can. Some people don't look at exercising like that. People look at it as punishment and it should be. When i play sports three,fours can pass by and i only will feel like i've been playing for an hour. (According to debatewise.org) Sports just dont help you physically but mentally and emotionally. You learn life lessons that can help you in your future. Sports teach you if you want something you need to go out and get it cause nothing will be handed to you.

Crossfit is another form of physical activity but, a little bit more vigorous. Crossfit is a very intense workout that focuses on all the muscles in your body. The workouts include powerlifting plyometrics and more(according to wikipedia.com/crossfit). Crossfit works on your cardiovascular system,speed,strength,agility,coordination and balance. Crossfit usually requires the following equipment barbells,dumbbells,pull up bars, jump rope and various mats(according to wikipedia.com/crossfit).  Crossfit is not something you're good at as soon as you start. It takes time to be able to do things. There has been crossfit games held since 2007(wikipedia.com/crossfit). To me if you do a hour three times a week of crossfit you'll be in the best shape of your life within months. Just because of all the different muscles that you work at the same time.

Weight training Is another form of fitness to me which is the best. I lift weights at least 3-4 times a week. Weightlifting requires for you to build your strength and help tone your muscles. Weight training is very fun and become competitive. There are many exercise that are out there that can test your strength in many different ways. It also counts if you're doing it right. If you're not doing the exercise right you can injure yourself or not do anything for your body but waste time. When I go to the gym I do different things on different days. If you do not follow a diet or workout plan you're basically wasting your time. With weightlifting it is also good to work cardio into the workout because you'll look in shape but will not be condition

As you can see fitness is a good thing for your body. You can add years on to your life just from working out. You can also prevent many diseases.

Data collected

What is data? Data is information you collect to help with your study or research. When I collected data for my topic I look for precise and informative information. When your collecting data you have to analyze it and see if it will help you with your research. My topic is should Ncca athletes get paid? The reason I want answers to this question is because the topic is controversial. Many feel there paid enough with free education some feel they that it's not enough for the things they do for the colleges. While studying this topic I have a very strong opinion because of all the things I have read on. Athletes bring in billions of dollars a year and see not a penny of that. You have coaches making millions. Which is not fair at all. Data is key to a get project!!!!

My topic is if NCAA athletes should get paid. This topic is very controversial topic. I didn't find many articles yet. I am still doing heavy research for the topic. I have done a lot of research but, not many of the articles are scholarly I have my opinion on the topic but I am not trying to opinante my writing. I want there to be research to backup my opinion. My opinion is that athletes should get paid . The reason being all of the things they go through just to survive as a college athlete. One of my articles I found is “Economists recommend paying college athletes”  According to the economists athletes come from low income families and, if the high end athletes get paid they might make more money then the coaches there self. Here are some of the things I researched that were not from scholarly articles. The idea that National Collegiate Athletic Association players should get paid is a trending topic. Many feel that they are already being paid through there scholarships to attend the big name universities and receive a great education. Even though college athletes  receive scholarships to attend the universities, people feel they should get paid at least a little amount of money so they can remain healthy. College players are constantly playing at very high level so they can make it to the professional level. NCAA players bring in billions of dollars and the players get nothing from it.

As of August 2014, judge Claudia Wilken changed the law saying that in 2016 college athletes can be paid by colleges. It is not mandating that college athletes must be paid it is stating that, if colleges want to offer a small salary to their top athletes, they can . If college athletes are found trying to make money off of their name for example by selling their autographs,memorabilia and apparel . they can be suspended or even kicked off their college team. In 2013 there was a scandal with Johnny Manziel accusing him of selling his autographs. There was no proof that he was selling his autographs but they said that “Johnny Football” knew that his autographs were being sold and he was suspended for half of a game. That was just a minor punishment as he didn't actually sell anything. The reason he couldn't be held accountable for selling his autograph was because there was no paper trail or evidence. In 2010 Terrelle Pryor and fellow Ohio State teammates,  sold their championship rings and other apparel to receive tattoos and money. Pryor was suspended for 5 games. He wasn't using the money for anything illegal, he just wanted to help his mother and suffered the consequence of being  suspended for 5 games.

With the topic of this blog being based upon an issue we don’t talk about in class, my mind wondered. There are many topics I feel that we don’t touch upon, but I feel like we should. To me a major one is actually one of the simplest ones. Communication in today’s society has been downgraded greatly. It is sad how now a days people can barely have a face to face conversation. And even so if they are conversing, the quality of conversations has decreased as well. I feel that the advancement of technology we have been taking and our society is to blame for this current issue.

           Back in the days people had to actually talk to someone to find out what was wrong with them, or even to find out something in general. Now people can just look at someone’s social media to find out how they are feeling sometimes. It seems like people are more comfortable talking through text, then they are actually talking face to face with someone. This trend of anti-socialness to me is because of social media and phones. I feel that even though cell phones contribute largely to this problem, our society also contributes as well to it.

           Society today has pretty much made it seem that the best type of communication is little to no communication at all. I find that pretty sad because that is the way that people end up having issues because of miscommunication. Then one party ends up upset because the other never stated what was on their mind first. Also I feel like communication in relationships because society has decreased too. Society deems it to be cool to hang out with your boys all day and not communicate with the girl that’s really down for you, but in turn it could also be the opposite way.

           With all this being said, there is still way more levels to this issue of communication decreasing in society. I feel like it is in important issue that should be brought up in class because a lot of people suffer from simply not speaking about what is on their mind. If people just communicated more on the daily then everyone’s life would be a little easier. Also if everyone put down the electronic devices every once and a while to communicate, I feel that we would learn something interesting about someone every day

I do agree communication skills are getting worse as time goes on because people don't need to talk or see each other as much. If you want to see one a thousand miles from you it so easy you can see them through snapchat or instagram. Which is very sad because the value of face to face conversations are starting to go down. Social media and technology is indeed taking over our generation. People don't ever wanna sit back and talk face to face with no distractions there phone always has to be involved or the computer. This generation just needs to learn how to do things the old fashion way

School Violence

School violence is youth violence that sometimes may take on school a property, or even some students may face or fear a act of violence will walking home from school or during a school events which can leading to young children losing their lives over nothing that could’ve been prevented. A young person can be a victim, a suspect, or a witness of school violence. School violence may also involve adults and the impacts they have towards their own child or in some cases what they have experience. The thought of thinking about students don’t care enough for a school that they would just want to damaging the school’s atmosphere. Putting students in fear to enter the premises of the school fearing acts of violence against them or around them. This also very badly affects the learning environment of the school. They usually lose focus and start to lack on their education. If young people aren’t taught from an early age about the consequences of what is wrong and what is right they start to feel as if they can do what they want on their own. Education does not always have to be taught at home or in the class, but most importantly through the parents. And because of the lack of parenting students are now bringing guns, knives, and other weapons to school, and many of these students are using them to hurt and kill. A student who faces lack of love and attention may also become violent. They usually look for it at schools if they don’t get it from home and when they are at school there are no supportive teachers, so they feel it is okay to disrespect teachers and the other students in the class. The teacher is not helping a student through difficulties, and which leads to frustration. It is the teacher’s duty to guide the student and help to him/her. A student may also result to violence when he/she is unsure of his career or future and hence proper guidance and the help that is required.In a world with so many cruel people and different perspectives it hard for us to come together and help the violence decrease. Just because we do all come from different races, different sexual orientations and different nationalities. We shouldn’t feel like we don’t fit in with different groups of people and be equal without any violence. It can be harder to find your place if everyone around you makes fun of you for the qualities which make you different but if we teach our youth that we are all equal then there will be less hatred towards one another. As school violence creates a large amount of problems and troubles we need to help this issue and try to prevent or reduce violence in schools. It is not only important for the child’s career but for our children’s safety. We shouldn’t have to be afraid of sending our kids to school because other students we need to teach them proper way to treat one another. It is the responsibility of schools and parents to give proper guidance, equality, support, love, care and affection to our youth. These things can easily reduce or prevent such kind of inhumane attitude.

              I feel that bullying in general is a topic that gets over looked a lot now a day in society. I agree when you said education doesn’t always have to be taught in school. There is a lot of home training that I feel like bullies could learn. Like consideration is a major thing that people lack and contributes to the violence. If everyone considered what everyone around us goes through we would probably have a more understand world. Parents really do have to step up and speak to their children and educate some of them a little more on basic home manners.

I do feel like bullying is a very big problem in today's society I hate bullying. Bully is always over looked a lot which cause terrible things. I was never bullied in my life because I was always cool with everyone but I do know a few people who were bully through their life and, they told me it feels so bad because  they felt like they were different. Schools need to crack down on bullying and instill very serious consequence. Many schools do have the zero tolerance for bullying so if you are caught doing it you will face very serious consequences. Which is well deserved for a bully.

college 101

Everyone has expectations on how their college life is supposed to go. “Will I make friends?”, “Will I play a sport, or join a team or a club?”. Am I going to be a social butterfly, and go to every event on campus?” That was not the case when it came to me. I had one goal, honestly it was to just do exceptionally well, and not get distracted. Also, I was far away from home so that was a blessing. Like I said, everyone has their own expectations, what I had expected for myself did not turn out that way. College opened my eyes to many different, people, personalities, and environments.  Knowing myself, I felt like I did not fit in at one point, it was hard to make friends and I felt like a loner all of first semester. Being in college, I realized it’s not about how many friends you make, or how popular you are, it’s about finding who you are. Who am I? I’m just a girl from Long Island, who loves photography, and Netflix, and food and sleep, who makes the most out of life and lives every day to the fullest. Most people from college do not understand who I am, and my story and where I am going, but it never was for them to understand just for me to realize the path I am trying to follow. There is so much, I could offer, but for now I am just a regular college student, who complains about being broke, and dropping out college, calling home complaining about how there’s no food, and how I have no clothes and no friends, and I’m going to be alone and hungry forever. College taught me that ramen noodles will be my best friend, most nights, and that I will always have Netflix, and Hulu to catch up on. Something about me is that I always live to capture the moment whether it’s through videos or photos, I believe that everything is supposed to seen whether it’s good or bad. I believe that’s how I grew up, so maybe I’m supposed to be in college, who knows. Maybe college will be a good thing, I will learn how to be a professional ramen making, Netflix watching couch potato with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Being just that is pretty awesome, who knows maybe I’ll use the Bachelor’s degree one day.

You certainly got that right! College is definitely different than expected for me. I came here expecting chaos and just a lot of crazy stuff but it really isn’t the case. I thought college would be much harder than high school as I was lead on to believe but for me, that is not the case. Just like you, my goal is simple, but yet very effective, do exceptionally well and not get distracted in the process. I have the same views of college. I thought college was going to be a mess. I thought there were going to be parties everyday I thought people were going to be getting drunk running around campus and all that good stuff. Even though that type of stuff does happen you don't see it on a regular everyday mostly just the weekends. It also isn't as hard as i was lead to believe. The only thing with college is you can not have to much fun or have to much outside work because if you do it will do major damage on your school work.

NBA vs NFL

Should NBA players follow the rules NFL players do by letting a college student go through four years of college before being drafted? This is a topic I noticed not a lot of people tackle or talk about. When I started watching basketball I notice how players would even skip from high school to the league such as LeBron and Kobe Bryant, in these cases you would say these are great role models and they are hall of fame basketball players but if you look at the majority of high school basketball players that go straight to the league are not successful because they either not live up to their hype but also injury can play a huge part in all of this by ruining a player career. In the NFL players make it through all four years of their college career to be considered to be drafted by a NFL team which gives a player maturity, growth and also experience before coming in the league making them ready for the big league. It’s also very beneficial being if a player is injured which is very usual in the NFL they can simple fall back on their degree making a better situation for the player. Now the NBA has a rule that a player has to at least partake in their first year of college, which isn’t that different than the senior year in college. I believe this is even a more waste of time because a player does not gain that much experience for being one year in college and will not be NBA ready. This is the trend we see today in the NBA as soon as a player is finish with their first year in college they quickly decide to be in the draft. The new NBA commissioner Adam Silver should be more active and show effort in the protection and future of their players by following the rules of the NFL and let their player’s gain more experience and knowledge by letting them go through 4 years of college and then be considered a draft prospect. There are a few negatives towards it when you think of individual stats and individual pay. Now players have a mindset of getting money and to start their NBA stats early so they can be as great of a player like Kobe Bryant or LeBron James but god forbid an injury occur was it all worth it?

I agree when you say that the NBA need to make a rule that a basketball player must finish all 4 years of college before joining the NBA. One they would be mature and even more responsible. God forbid anything was to happen to that basketball player, such as a knee injury or anything that can permanently injure them, at least they would have the degree to fall back on. If the change was to happen, this would inspire a lot of young males to want to go straight to college. Unlike now a-days where you can be drafted from high school so young males do not inspire to go to college.

I do agree that college basketball players should have to go to school for 4 years because they can ruin careers. Athletes can get hurt at any moment and, if they don't have anything to back it up that can be a waste of time. Many athletes don’t know much but, how to play their sport because all they have ever done there whole life. So when you take that away from them they have a hard time finding something else especially higher education. I do agree Adam Silver should become more involved in this type of rule. Cannabis vs Cigarettes

The controversial topic of if cannabis should be legal is constantly being discussed. In my opinion I think Cannabis should be legal over cigarettes. Cigarette can cause lung cancer and many other health problems(According to wikipedia.com). Cannabis basically only speeds your heart rate.(according to wikipedia.com). Second hand smoke has killed 38,000 people and which 3,400 are non-smokers and have lung cancer (according to wikipedia) If cigarettes do so much damage why are they still legal? On the other hand cannabis is used in the medical field to help patients but tobacco isn’t used in hospitals(According to wikipedia). Cannabis is the fourth most addicting drug behind tobacco,alcohol and caffeine (according to wikipedia). There are 600 ingredients in a cigarette and when it is burning it creates 7000 chemicals(according to lung.org). Marijuana can cause serious hallucinations and can sometimes worsen people with schizophrenia(according to drugfacts). Marijuana gets you high and makes you feel good but cigarettes can kill you and cause serious problems in the future of your life. Cannabis is made from a hemp plant(according to wikipedia). The only bad thing that comes with marijuana is the prices. A gram can range from 10-15 dollars but an ounce can range from 280-420 ounces(according to wikipedia). A carton of Cigarettes range from 10-14 dollars a pack(according to ibtimes.com) Cannabis can cause many problems though if you overdose(according to wikipedia). Cigarettes on the other can't kill you on a overdoes it just has a very addictive drug in it called nicotine(according to wikipedia). Nicotine is the addicting stuff in cigarettes. When people are going through withdrawal they usually use chewing gum or nicotine patches(according to wikipedia). While you have to be 18 people still find a way to get the cigarettes and that affects young people's life in a very bad way. With me working at a grocery store I see kids all the time trying to buy cigarettes but get denied. With marijuana though since it is not legal you can get it from anyone and do not need an I.D.. Marijuana is so much easier to get for that reason. If you have connections it not a problem. The only major problem is you have to worried about not getting caught. Yes marijuana has it side effects buy cigarettes have there side effects and there still legal. This is why in my opinion marijuana is better than cannabis.

How have you viewed this up and coming presidential debate? Do you have a candidate you would vote for? Do yo you know controversial topics that have been discussed? Well one of the controversial topics is immigration. Immigration has been an ongoing problem in the United States. Immigration was at a high in 11.1 million in 2014. I feel this could be a big problem in crime but, can also be helpful. Some people come to the U.S because it's the land of opportunity. Mr. Trump feels like no immigrants should be allowed unless they have proper documentation. I feel like Mr. Trump isn’t being to understanding about the problem. Some people in other countries don't have the opportunity to leave properly so they have to risk it all and, come here illegally so there families can have better lives. Mexicans made up 52 percent of the illegal immigrants. The six major states that have the immigrants are Florida, New York, California, Texas, Illinois and New Jersey. As a voter these are one of the important topics because this can affect anyone rather it's work related or safety related. I feel Donald trump should of never said he was going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. This is a terrible look because if Mr. Trump becomes president he is basically bullying a smaller country. America most definitely doesn't want that look. Trump also slandered the Mexican culture by calling them criminals and rapists. That's very uneducated and ignorant. Mrs. Clinton has the total opposite. She want children to be closer to their families and, actually allow people to prosper and, have better lives for their families. If we bring opportunities for these immigrants and allow them to work they won't commit as many crimes or won't be so disruptive to the peace. My stand on this is we should give immigrants a chance. If we don't ever give them a chance we will always experience a high crime rate. Like if you separate a family then there gonna retaliate in a disruptive way and commit crimes. America is always known for its wonderful opportunites. So we should share that with people willing to work to make our economy better. I understand if an immigrant is always committing crimes and being  business then we could deport them but, if we are not offering chances we shouldn't be so harsh

The vacation I will never forget

Ever since I can remember around the first week in July, my family and I would get up at six o’clock and hit the road. The ride would feel like a week, but it only lasted about six hours. My siblings and I would fight the whole way there. But once we got there, and I could smell the salt water, I would get so excited just to be by the ocean. All the fighting would stop.

I hated when my mom had to check us in for the campsite. Waiting in the hot car would feel like an oven, the sun was beating down on us. Once we got checked in, we would drive around until we could find our site. The first thing I always did was go to seek out the sand and put my feet in it. It would always burn at first, but after a few seconds, I got used to it after a couple of seconds. Before I could go and see the ocean for the first time, I would have to set up, which was the worst part of camping. I remember my mom saying,   “The faster you get done, the faster you can go and swim.” Once the set up was done, I would bolt and get changed.

One memory I have is walking from the campsite past the showers, where there was always around line, the bathrooms as little kids running around to find crabs, to find the hill to take me to the beach. I would go up farther, and finally there, I would begin to see the blue water with that view. I would take a minute and just take it all in. I loved that feeling. My twin brother and I would always race to find the perfect spot to put down the towels, and then we would jump in the ocean for the first time. The water would shock me like ice, but I would get over it. Then we would swim. My brothers, sister and I are like fish. We would never wanted to get out of the water or even leave. But my mom would make us so we could go and eat dinner. It was after dinner when my family and I would sit around the fire and hang out.

The best part of going to the beach in Maryland was the last night. It was the night we would go to Ocean City to the boardwalk. We could see Ocean City from the campsite. I would always look forward to going there. We would play games and go on rides on the boardwalk. The first ride I went on was the slingshot. I was so scared, but I went on the ride with my sister so I felt safer. It was always a good time.

When we got back to the camp site after the long night, we would sit around the campsite. Then we would go around the circle and say what the best and worst part of our vacation was. One memory around the circle was my brother Mat (yes that’s how you spell it) saying that his best part of vacation was going crab hunting the night before. My all-time favorite memory was just being there, as a family, and getting closer in that week.

Lol I understand how you feel about a long drive. The drive from the New York City to Buffalo is about a 7hr drive. I love the ocean too but not in America. The best beach I went to was in Bermuda because it was a pink sand beach. I loved the sand so much that I “accidentally” had some in my bag. I feel like the best part about being in the beach is when you are in the water and you can jump with the waves. I love when the water is clear enough that you can see your feet right through it. I hate when beaches are dirty I start to feel uncomfortable.

I have been on many vacations and many different experiences. I have had good experiences and many bad experiences. When you go on vacations you have to be prepared for everything.  You have to be prepared to lose things,get into arguments have ups and downs. That's not the point about vacations though the main point is you should cherish the experiences. Everyone doesn't have some privileges to go on vacations I have had my fair share of arguments with my mom sister cousins and many more but it was all fun when I look back. I will always cherish my vacation moments no matter what happens

How I broke my collarbone

Yeah, you read that right! I have broken my collarbone! You know how people just have “little accidents” that causes them to get badly injured? Wellllll, mines is a different story. And by different, I mean completely ridiculous.

So, It was my sophomore year of high school and I was playing for my school’s basketball team, The Emerson Eagles. We were…eh…a pretty good team and won a couple a games here and there but that’s besides the point. It was the end of the season, probably the third to last game and we were against this…should I say…“hardass swol beefy” team. This team was very aggressive and to be honest, I was scared shitless. Seriously. If you compare myself to them…then I would be considered as a baby.

Back to the story, I was playing guard in this game and the score was really close. It was…about the third quarter of the game and we were all equally exhausted by now. I suddenly had the ball and was running to the other side of the court to make this amazing basket. That is until this girl from the other team trip me. I never hit the ground head first so hard in my life. I can barely remember what happened a little afterwards but I do know that I was COMPLETELY OUT.

….it turns out I had a “minor concussion” and that I was out of the team for the rest of the season.

Fast forward to July 4th later that year, I was better. The bump on the side of my head when down and the sun was shining. Me and my family decided to go to the park for the holiday, which was fine at the time. I haven’t been on a swing in a while so why not.

I never fucking jinxed something so bad in my life guys.

SO, Yeah. I got on the swing and did my thing. I was always a high swinger cause I love the feeling of wind flowing through my hair. I know. Sounds cliche but it’s the truth.

There was this big tree near the swing set and the kids were climbing and throwing crabapples everywhere. If you don’t know what a crabapple is, look it up. Anyways, these kids are bad. They didn’t care. And I remember this boy, he was at the top of the tree, thinking that he was Lion King or something like that. I remember staring at him because I thought he was going to fall. I remember him looking at me dead in the eye as he threw that crabapple…

Wow I cannot believe that you broke your collar bone. I know I would have been crying forever. I use to play rugby so I understand what it is like to get a bad injury. I got tackled so badly that I hurt my knee and I could not play for 3 weeks. I was so upset because it was so boring to just sit there and watch the game. I kind of felt lost without playing rugby. I mean my injury was not as bad as yours but I still can feel your pain a little.

Breaking your collarbone is a very scary thing. You worry yourself if you'll ever be the same. Especially if you play sports because your collarbone can affect you if it doesn't heal properly. If I broke my collarbone I would play in my sport with worry and, workout with worry thinking i'm going to re injury myself . That's the last thing as an athlete I would wanna do because I love to be out there on the field and help my team win. I have never suffered an injury. Thank god and i pray i am always healthy. Without good health you have nothing.

Visiting my 100 year old Great Grandmother

Last summer I flew to California to visit my Great Grandmother. She lives up in San Jose which is not a far drive from San Francisco. This trip was to spend time with her because she is 100 years old. But after arriving we realized she did not care that we were there and that we were just intruding on her shows. Since San Francisco was not too far away we might as well go.

My aunt was the one who was taking me everywhere around the city. Which was amazing because she actually used to live there when she first moved out of her house so she remembered what’s good about this place and where all the hidden gems there were. She took me to amazing restaurants. My favorite place she took me though was to this small town called Carmel. It is a small beach town with cute little shops and restaurants and a beautiful beach with warm waters. While sitting on the beach seals and dolphins were just coming up to us, swimming around and it was just an amazingly unique experience.

As much as I hate being a tourist, I knew that we had to go to San Francisco and just completely, full on be tourists. You know like see the seals, walk the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and sight see the amazing city. While there I learned that this is a perfect place to live. Being right on the water there was always this cool breeze that cooled you down from the hot sun. The building, that were architecturally amazing, were tall and provided some much needed shade. The houses and neighborhoods were so pleasing to my eyes and could not get enough of them.The whole city had this amazing vibe and I was living for it.

After visiting San Francisco I am really considering making a move to live there. I know that it is extremely expensive but I think i still want to try and go for it. I am really trying to learn Spanish and am hoping that that could help me find a job out there. Not sure if it will actually happen but i am not forgetting it. One day i will be back to San Francisco and I will either be moving there or just visiting to have a good time.

Wow I visited California almost 8 years ago with my grandmother and aunt, and I had so much fun. We stayed for only 2 days because we went on a cruise. This blog got my attention because I love my grandma to death, plus I want to move to California after I graduate and plus I want to learn Spanish also. I think minoring in Spanish is the best way to learn Spanish. My grandmother is my favorite person in the whole world, I don’t not know what I would do without her. I hope and pray that my grandmother lives to see 100 years old.

OoOohhh! I have yet to ever visit California. You made it sound so amazing! That is really cool that you are thinking about moving there one day. I love that you visited a little town in Carmel out there; when I drove to New York City for a Group Fitness certification, I stayed in a little town called Carmel too. I thought it was so cute! Maybe all towns called ‘Carmel’ in the US are just as quaint! Just a thought.. Anyway, it sounds like you had an amazing time, and you only confirmed California’s spot on my bucket list ;)

I seriously need to travel to both California and San Francisco! Myself, I love to see new places and experience the best of the best (though the prices might be insane). I remember me and my friend talking about going to Cali once we graduate and stay there for a few days. Sure, I will have to save a hell lot of money but the fact that I get to experience a new place is always great. As for San Fran.. Sign me up! :D

I’ve been to california multiple times to visit my aunt and it was and it's a beautiful state.  I traveled so much when I was there I stayed in San diego and it a very beautiful city. I ended up in all the way in disneyland and ended up having a great time. California is a great place to visit and I recommend it to everyone who is going on vacation. There are many tourist attraction because there are many different tourist attractions and always something to do. My family showed me many things that i didn't know existed in california

High School Story

All my life, I’ve been a good person and an even better student. In the beginning of high school, which was 9th grade, I was getting good grades, getting awarded student of the month almost every month and I was truly happy with my performance and most importantly, my parents were proud of me. I started making more friends and with more friends comes more distraction but I was able to control that and still manage to get my good grades. That all went down hill in 11th grade when I started cutting class to play basketball in the gym. Thinking about it now, it was really stupid because I had 2 gym classes but I just wanted to go and play more instead of going to class. I met a girl named Davena who saw what I was doing and warned me several times to stop cutting class. The class I was cutting was a history class which I need to pass the history state test in order to graduate high school. Sometimes I listened to her and went to class but that wasn’t enough. It wasn’t til later that I realized that all my friends I cut class with had passed all their state tests and I had to get my life together and focus on passing. I went to class from then but I guess it wasn’t enough because I failed the test by 1 point. I was told I couldn’t graduate because I didn’t have that 1 point; that was the worst day of my life, knowing that all my friends I started high school with are graduating and I wasn’t. I went home very disappointed because my brother was coming home all the way from upstate New York for my graduation and now I am not graduating. How do I tell my parents that they took off work for nothing because I am not graduating? I went straight to my room and started crying. I went back to school and talked to my principal and she told me that she knows I am a good student, I never got in trouble and I had already been accepted to college so she is going to help me out by sending an appeal because I only failed by 1 point. I had to get my test appealed in order to graduated that day. That taught me a lesson and I made a promise that I will focus and make sure I do what is needed before I do anything else.

Man, Highschool was a journey. I remember as a freshman, I was kinda a loner. I had a bad history during 7th and 8th grade and I wanted to restart. I wanted to start all over again and have friends, good grades and a good highschool experience. And so, starting 10th grade, I started opening myself up to people and gain a good hand full of friends (which I still talk to today!). Grades were pretty good and my mom was happy with me. I did attempted sports, join a couple of clubs, Junior and Senior prom, and class trips and I’m glad I did what I did. Sure, sometimes there’s drama and complications during my highschool experience but..I’m just glad that I made it. Not graduating with your class is a scary thought! Really scary! But I’m happy that you got yourself together and graduated!

I remember high school like it was yesterday. I had many ups and downs throughout my high school years. Those were some of the best years of my life. I skipped class and school many times. I remember I skipped a couple classes to get a haircut. That was one of the dumbest ideas because i got in major trouble when I got caught. I lied and got in more trouble because I decided to say my mom gave me permission and then the office decided to call my mom and found out that I lied I regret doing that because it was so dumb and I will never do something that dumb again.

Killings Over J’s

    Have you ever wore a pair Jordan’s?  Well have you ever thought about people being robbed and killed for those shoes, On December 15,2014 Michael Jordan says it is not his problem that kids are dying over his shoes(http://nahadaily.com/gossip/michael-jordan). Yet people still continue to support and buy the shoes. His shoes are released through tickets. There are three steps involved when getting the sneakers. You have to go and enter the raffle. Then once you enter and if called then you have to confirm that you are going to buy the sneakers. Than you have to go that Saturday to buy the sneakers. On December 21 2013 a young man in houston Tx was killed on his way home after buying the shoes according to(myfoxhouston.com). The mother was saddened because she was suppose to go with her son to buy the shoes but he told her no he would be fine but, she ended up never seeing her son again(myfoxhouston.com). Jordans either need to have more pairs released or they need to be put in stores.Jordan is getting out of control especially the fact that he doesn't care about the people being killed and’ only about the money he makes.http://nahadaily.com/gossip/michael-jordan). Recently in Ohio a kid was shot over the most recent release the Jordan 11’s  Legend Blue’s on December 23’2014 (http://solecollector.com/news/a-teenager-was-killed-over-air-jordan-11s/). There are more important things in this world than just robbing and killing someone over 200 dollar pair of sneakers. This is a sad case that people can't enjoy their hard earned money because people want to kill and hold people at gunpoint for their shoes.

   I think Jordan should restock his shoes at least every 4-5 months. This would lower the the death rate caused by Jordans. People think just because they come out every 4-5 yrs they are the best thing in the world and do anything to get them. I personally love wearing jordans. I have my very own collection. Of course i will not stop collecting them but, I am very careful where i wear what shoes. I have witness people get their shoes stolen and,its sad but I’m can't do anything about it. If i try to do something about it i might get robbed.

   The Jordan’s are a very special shoe because he wore them in many historic moments of his career and, because of their wonderful style. They are just very mind blowing shoes. Every dollar you spend on those shoes are worth it. They can go with a formal outfit, casual outfit or just plain outfit. Jordan’s will never go out of style just because of the historic meaning behind them and their outstanding fashion.

My number one question when I was informed of this project is what is multimodal? I was wondering how difficult this project was going to be. I didn't even know what multimodal meant.  Multimodal means several different modes. With this project I feel like can express a very powerful situation or be boring and just do the project for a grade. This project is asking for 5 pictures and an explanation of the pictures through writing.The internet will also play a very huge role in this project because I can search how to analyze certain pictures. This can be very easy if you pick the right pictures or someone can turn it into a very difficult project if they have no clue what you're doing. I am still a little confused but, I am still analyzing the project. This photos I think I am going to use is from a Buffalo Bills game.  The pictures I will use will start from tailgating, my walk to the field, the entrance of the field, on field and after the game. I feel this can create a very good story of one of my favorites days of the week and that is sunday I am a huge football fanatic. I have many pictures of this experience so I feel I can excel at this project if I use these pictures the project should run smooth for me.

When analyzing the picture I have to mention many things. I probably should mention the location background knowledge the day the pictures were taken what the occasion was how this affects me, what made me use these pictures. I can also explain the mood of the pictures. This can explain a lot to the audience and, can change their whole view of the project. As i am writing the blog I feel my opinion is starting to change on the project I feel it will  be a great learning experience for me and it will show me many different things i didn't know about the english language. Also if I receive the proper guidance I can become very good at analyzing pictures,texts anything that needs analyzation I can analyze. When the peeo draft come on september 21s I can also help my peers and hopefully he can help me to so as a class we can succeed and get high grades. This project will help me in the long run and strength my english language
