Wolverine was sent by the government (either America via weapon plus or Canada via alpha flight) to assassinate professor x. When he shows up, Charles changed his memories to make him think he choose to leave that job and come join the X-men. The alpha flight gang assumed he was just going off to chill in the mountains, as he does, so they didn’t find out where he went till much later. The alpha flight boys claim that it was the weapon plus program but he worked on both teams so.
I don’t remember that.
For Public Relations reasons, I can’t approve of the release of all detained mutants, as many are detained because they are, in fact, violent.

No one seems to understand how difficult it is to simply turn off one of your senses. It’s not like asking Erik to not throw cars - it’s like asking him to somehow not feel that the cars are there in the first place.
