Prime Cut (1972)

Micheal Ritchie's (Sem-Tough, Downhill Race, Fletch)  directs Lee Marvin as a Chicago mob-enforcer sent to collect a debt from cattle rancher/sex-slave ringleader played by Gene Hackman in probably his most unhinged performance.  Also featuring Sissy Spacek in her first film role!

Just saw Blackhat.  Cold as ice. Reminded me of the overlooked Tony Scott classic "Revenge."

In the spirit of "To Live And Die In LA" and Mann's own "Thief" comes this bizarre, atmospheric, hopeless 1990 revenge picture.  Dour in mood and almost nihilistic in spirit it wasn't surprising that it was overlooked after his huge hits "Top Gun" and "Beverly Hills Cop II."

Well worth a look. You can stream it on Amazon and I recommend you do.
