gonna start posting here because @olympianbutch left tik tok and im getting much deeper into my practices, so I want to post here more
hii im Akasha, im 21, im a folk practitioner particularly (extremely) syncretic. the core of my practice is Aphrodite (i like to say that if i was born in ancient times I would’ve been cleaning her statues and temples).
im a sapphic trans woman from rural florida, and im a singer-songwriter, writer, occasional artist, archaeology enthusiast, and someone who really is kind of obsessive about the ocean. i self describe myself as a southern folk practitioner with an emphasis on Mary Magdalene and Yeshua. I syncretize them respectively with Aphrodite and Adonis, Inanna and Dumuzid. Canaanite, Egyptian, Hellenic and Mesopotamian polytheism influences my beliefs greatly, along with animism and swamp and ocean witchcraft. I have been worshipping Aphrodite since i was 14-15.
I have quite a bit of experience with southern folk magic and it’s predominantly an ancestral thing. Im white of mostly Scottish, German, African-American and Romani (Manush and Welsh Kale) descent. Im currently trying to connect with the Seminole tribe in my area to learn better on how to connect with and respect the land i live on.
This is absolutely not a safe space for any kind of bullshittery. Do not come at me with bullshit, do not talk to me about bullshit, do not try and bring me into bullshit! I am alright with asks, but please do be respectful loves.
goddesses i worship
aphrodite
asherah
hathor
sekhmet
inanna-ishtar
anat
isis
i predominantly focus on aphrodite, so i feel confident discussing her. the other goddesses are more recent additions to my worship and while i will be happy to talk to other devotees - i really only feel comfortable giving advice on aphrodite worship.
thank you! :]
