Follow up interveiw with Jamie, Otto, and Koji
We are doing a follow up interview to Jamie, Otto, and Koji on their DIY laptop project. If you want to read our first interview with them scroll down!
How is the project going?
Very slow. Our raspberry pi was having issues so they had to send it back to company.
What is your plan for the future?
Get a new raspberry pi and try again.
Sorry for how short this interview. More to come!

Gardening in the springtime!
Our class has taken out a plot at Wasatch Community Gardens and we have a small window garden. Currently we have planted carrots, turnips, beets, and lettuce. The garden started as a run-down plot with old plastic and tubing, but with about 2 hours of work and we had a beautiful garden plot! (pictures to come) Ms LeGate has some extra news papers and we made little paper pots for our window garden. We will plant the paper pots in our plot when they grow large enough. We used news paper because it's biodegradable.
More to come!

Ok, thank you for continually checking in with us! I know it's been annoying seeing all these interviews, but we are doing our last one today! This is one of our most interesting projects. Read on below! Q: What is your project? A: Our project is ncalled pending for hunger which means you can buy food for yourself and pending food for someone in need. Q: Which stores are participating? A: We've already gotten Great Harvest but we are still working on getting more. Q: What made you interested in this project? A: We heard about something like this that they do in Europe and decided we should start it here! Q: What is your goal? A: To get at least ten places to start pending for hunger and make a difference. Q: How do you plan on getting people involved? A: Call or email. Q: anything you want to tell the world? A: The world needs more free food opportunities! Well thats a wrap for the interviews! Now I think were planning on just doing an update a couple times a week. Stay tuned! Josh and Sumner at work! Check out our interview with them on tumblr!
Hello friends! This week we will definitely have more than one interview (if you care about that sort of thing...)! To start it off, we will have an interview with Sumner, Josh, and Lucas about their project on clean air. So take a deep breath and enjoy! Q: What is your project? A: We have two: 1. We want to make it illegal to idle unless you're at a light or stop sign. 2. Make a petition and stop it. Q: How did you get interested in this project? A: We thought we could make a no smoker sign but Ms. Legate said, "Why don't we make idle signs too!". And here we are... Q: How are you going to make idling illegal? A: We will put up a petition on change.org and see what we can do. Q: What else is involved in your project? A: We are trying to stop idling in the state of Utah because the Wasatch Front largely accepted as the most polluted area in the world. Q: Anything else you want to tell the world? A: Sign our petition on change.org when we make it!!!! Well thats a wrap for this interview! More to come later this week ;). Questions answered by: Sumner Shoell, Lucas Magell, and Josh Harvey. Hunger probs yo.
Hello All! This past week was our spring break, which I hope explains our absence Anyway to start off this week, we have decided to Interview Matthew Suggars, who happens to be working on a project about world hunger. Here is a Q&A with Matthew about his project, Q: What exactly is your project? A: We're gonna try and host a bake sale to end world hunger? Q: What inspired you to do this project? A: Well, I was watching a show and how it's not only here where I live but everywhere in the world. Which made me want to do something about it. Q: Who else is working with you on this and what is their role? A: Just me. I am the only one that had enough drive to finish it out I guess. Q: When did you first have the idea to do this project? A: When I first entered this wondrous and entertaining classroom? Q: Where and when will this event be taking place? A: May 29th, 2013 The Salt Lake Arts Academy 854 S. 200 E. Sexism interveiw with Leah and Abbey!
After the success of our first interview, we have decided to continue and have set up a series of interviews with all the different projects. To start off, we have an interview with two girls who have set up a questionnaire about sexism. Below are the questions. Q: What is this project? A: Um, we are making a zine about sexism and interviewing people about what they think. Q: Why did you want to start this project? A: Lots of people have been sexist towards us and we want them to know we care and that is should stop. Q: Have all the interviews been similar to what you think? A: Well, we are asking questions like, has sexism ever made you stop being friends with someone or changed you? Q: What kind of things have happened to you that you think are sexist? A: People are amazed we play video games or one time my brother told me, your a girl go make me lunch! Q: Who inspired you to do this project? A: We were kind of thinking one day about it and decided that we wanted to share ideas together. Q: Do you think people are sexist towards boys? A: I think that it is a little different but yes. Q: What kind of things have shocked you that you have learned in the interviews? A: Just, some people are wildly inappropriate and make you think, why would you ever do that. Q: Any last things you want to tell the world? A: Nope. Well thats a wrap for today. Thanks for reading our blog and I hope it makes you think. Make sure to follow us!
