Anyway, like...3/5 done portraits? Some haven’t been upgraded at all, others need corrections - but, I think it looks cool and because this is so unnecessarily niche I really only need to satisfy myself. I like Freakshow’s because he looks like a meatball and if you compare before/after Ito it’s pretty drastic/realistic.
In ToS news, I reserved a spot at a nearby campground 3 months in advance. DEATH MATCH FAN-(planning)GOD!
Ughh...did names for...5 hours? Feel like there was some sort of trick I was unaware of. Decided to not do the AKI-process for portraits and instead just use a filter - I prefer it and don’t give a fuck if it’s not AKI.
Now I only have 6 more stables to make pictures of!
Took off another month for...oh, I was playing GTA VC (super good, beat it when I was a teenager and still enjoyed it) and then I got halfway through the original Max Payne and decided I wanted to learn Microsoft Access (for farm planning).
Anyway, found a crowd stretch hack which, the original game just has half body textures with ghost legs (see left), whereas if I use the hack, and then resize (which means redumping/scaling) the skin, I can make fullsize Whack Packer (see right)!
So, plan is to do that for the front row...back row arena-specific code did not work and fuck that, so I’m just going to recycle various promotion specific shirts on generic fans. Then crowd is done and I can focus on the joy that is mapping Freakshow’s moveset.
I’ve decided to make 8 Nick Gage attires.

I’ve been posting a lot more regularly on twitter with updates (GAMS_inc) just because I’m on there a lot more. I’ll still use this primarily as the place to capture all the shit that people don’t really need to see, like WIPS. This is still a WIP because I want to give him a bandana & necklace entrance attire, but...I think it looks good. Feel like I’m getting better at it, which, if I didn’t that would be a real sorry state of affairs.
OH YEAH! I can do arena specific crowds, 6 each promotion. I know my IWA MS 6, but need help with CZW (little mondo, Shaft, Frank Talent...) need another three so any suggestions would be appreciated.
That was way too much time on Lobo. Anyway:
Top: Progression from nothing, to done but with fake colors, to done w/in game colors
Bottom: 3 versions of Lobo - still not 100% on hair/face (it’s just an in game face with big nose since I can’t find any) but I’m okay saying he’s done.
Top: A GODDAMN DECENT REED BENTLEY REFERENCE PICTURE HAS PAID OFF!
Second: For some reason I gave Beater the wrong arm accessories, so fixed it and gave him his bionic pads and electric tape. Also gave Abby his head dress and gave him an alternate attire so he’s basically done.
Third: My game isn’t the prettiest or smoothest, but it does have the most bizarre, selective, attention to detail.
Bottom: I sometimes wonder if modding is my primary interest, or secondary to making simple spreadsheets to compile said information. Anyway, “less than done” includes shit I never started (BRANDON FUCKING PROPHET) and stuff that is 95% done (Jimmy Lloyd’s face needs some modification), etc...
*Unrelated to this, but listening to music while modding - can confirm Jeffrey Lewis is better than Lord Worm’s solo efforts.
Progress has been slow at GAMS HQ. Kid takes up a lot of time and haven’t had much desire to mod lately. Did manage to update Hatred to have his new look.
