Mercedes took the remote when it was offered to her. Brown orbs lifted to the television has she began to surf through the channels to find something to watch. No. No. No. No. The choices ranged from something news-related, a show she’s never heard of, or just something she wasn’t interested in at all. And then she began to enter the sports section which interested her yet she wasn’t so sure if Jeff would feel the same. “Sports, or nah?” the younger star wondered as she hovered the selection over one of the options. “Actually…” and then she changed her mind at a moment’s notice. Her thumb moved up the remote to the power button and she shut off the television. Mercedes would’ve LAUGHED at you many, many years ago if you were to have told her that she would not only be friends with JEFF HARDY of all people but that there might’ve been something brewing between the two of them. What was that something? Mercedes wasn’t so sure, nor was she looking to get her hopes up. Especially since the age difference between them was so distant. For all she knew, he might not be interested in someone so young.

“Only one way to find out,” she paused as she leaned towards the coffee table that held both of their phones. It wasn’t something they planned but at some point during the night, they both set their phones to the side and forgot about them. That was rare for Mercedes since she was totally the type of person who always needed to keep herself busy. She grabbed his phone and handed it over to him. Her lips spread into a smile as she waited for him to take it. “Pepperoni. Maybe some veggies, no preference, but it needs to have at least some pepperoni.”

“Okay, boss lady. Whatever you say.” The North Carolinian laughed, giving Mercedes a gentle nudge before typing the name of the nearest pizza place into google. A quick look at their hours told Jeff that they still had a good two hours before the place shut down for the night. “You’re in luck-- tell you what. Since I’m feeling generous, I’ll get us some breadsticks, too.” Jeff gave her a wink to show that he was kidding before ordering their food and typing in his debit card information.

Once the order went through successfully, Jeff set his phone down on the coffee table and turned his attention to Mercedes once more. “Should be here in about a half hour or so... you can pick something to watch in the mean time.” Jeff picked up his roku remote and handed it over to Mercedes before getting comfortable on the couch again, slinging his arm across the back.
