Doft, development of far travel, is a fictional organisation looking to traverse space and time in order to exploit alien lands of their resources after the planet runs dry of its own.
The organisation enlists a team of desperate, unqualified monster-individuals and keeps them housed in their lab out in the middle of nowhere. Managed by the goody two shoes, lab-made Connor and co-led by his rebellious zombie brother Slacks, everyone will have to prove their worth keeping around or find themselves replaced by the actually qualified.

Again, none of this is Canon I'm just playing around with ideas, I gave this version of Connor a tail and added annotations. I also did Abigor but I'm not too crazy about it, it doesn't give the same energy I originally intended for him to have
The DOFT (development of far travel) is an organisation researching teleportation, time travel and dimensional travel. Founded by Mikey Mortar and Hubert Riles, but later solely owned by Mikey Mortar.
The story takes place in a lab in the middle of a desert. The land is owned by the Mckenzie's who not only allow Mr Mortar to conduct his business there but fund the organisation's developments.
The monster staff are housed there to limit time travelling as the nearest city is Atrition's capital via bus. It takes almost half a day to get there and another half a day to get back.
Slacks is the on-site handyman
Connor is the team manager
Catrina is the receptionist and basic lab office staff
Sabrina is the on-site nurse
Joey is the janitor (alot more helpful than it sounds)
Abigor is tech team/IT guy, he applied to work with Madison in the engineering sector but she constantly reiterates how she doesn't need any help
Iris and Sally work under Hubris in the research/lab team
Aaron (name wip) is simply an intern
Marcus is also an "intern" (child labour) and works alongside Mr Mortar and Madison
Bailey stays with his older brother Ralph during school weeks, every term break he gets to stay with his dad Hubert in the lab. He much prefers the lab over living in thr city.
Leah's family owns the land and funds the organisation, often meeting with Mr Mortar for updates. Leah gets dragged along to these boring meetings, however one day she runs into Bailey who's staying in the lab. She recognises him from school and they become best friends (alongside Marcus).
Mr Hubert Riles (Mr Hubris as titled by Mr Mortar) is the leading scientist. He came to his college best friend Mikey, a fellow scientist, with ideas of grandeur when Mikey fell victim to a tragic incident as a result of the ongoing war between Lesser Cava, Atriton and Cancardic. Mikey's fiance Elliot took care of him for a while but when Mikey re-emerged he was clearly a lesser version of himself.
Elliot takes the role of company face, appearing far more than Mikey Mortar and is often mistaken as the boss.
Madison is the head engineer and possibly the only authorative figure people respect around there,

Hubert is workplace dad to all, Abigor has a crush on Sabrina, Slacks and Catrina are dating, Connor was made in the lab, Connor gets to date a cute alien girl later on
Bottom left is Sally's current sprite. The right is an overdone version. I don't know whether I want my art to be cool or cute and clean. I'm also going through some redesign ideas for the other guys
