Our ranking of the Ryan Gosling movies we've seen so far (to be clear the gray man's the only one we Actively dislike, we like all of them no matter where they are on the list)
the fall guy so low??? AAAAAAAA. drive felt like a fever dream. i didn’t expect it to get dark so quickly towards the ending…I’ll definitely check out this list though.
Ryland Grace who breathes in deep through his nose when he kisses you on the mouth because his heart’s beating so fast he needs to catch his breath but cannot bring himself to pull away.
Ryland Grace who once he has a taste of you, wraps his arms around you to try and hold you as close as possible because stupid physics says he can’t be under your skin no matter how badly he wants to be.
Ryland Grace who feels his knees go weak when you tilt your head to deepen the kiss AND card your fingers through his hair.
Ryland Grace who swears you can hear how fast and loud his heartbeat is when you kiss him because it’s clear as a bell to him.
Ryland Grace who is right where he wants to be, wrapped around your finger.

i'm listening and taking down notes 😌
just to make it a little more interesting, let's hold space for that spit kink — he slows down, tips your head back just enough as he says, "open up, baby," — your mouth obediently parts for him so he can spit into your mouth, and you get a sickeningly sweet "good girl..." from above, before he kisses the back of your head and starts pounding into you again. hehe.

After a long and demanding week of managing students, whether it’s asking for extensions, helping with papers, or going back and forth with students, Ryland arrives at what he considers the most rewarding part of his day. Grading papers.
It gives him a rare moment of quiet. He can sit undisturbed, focus entirely on his work, and just relax. As he works through a portion of the stack, his attention lands on a familiar name written boldly at the top of a page in unmistakable glittery blue ink. The sight draws a small, involuntary smile from him. It’s become a trademark, one he recognizes instantly.
Over the years, he’s noticed a pattern in himself. With each new class, there’s always one student who captures his attention more than the others. The reasons are always the same. The year before, it was a quiet exchange student who rarely spoke and kept to herself. The one before that was a quiet, loser type student who remained largely to himself. This year, it’s you, and you are so different.
You’re quick witted and confident, usually volunteering in class discussions with ease. You carry yourself with a natural sense of assurance that draws others in. You’re sociable and well liked, with a big circle of friends, and even those outside of it seem to hold you in high regard.
Your personality is just as evident in your writing. Each page reflects a part of your huge personality. Your handwriting is bubbly and expressive, your i’s are dotted with small hearts, and the margins are filled with doodles of puppies or stars. The use of bright, glittery ink adds a touch that makes your work immediately recognizable.
However.. there are noticeable inconsistencies in your academic performance. Your grammar is nowhere to be found, punctuation is sometimes forgotten, and abbreviations appear more than the full words. While your work carries personality and effort, you definitely aren’t a top student.
But, he doesn’t really mind. He skims through your report, barely pausing at the mistakes, and grabs his red pen. He underlines a random sentence and writes a quick ‘Amazing writing!’ beside it. At the top of the page, he marks an A+ and adds a small smiley face.
He knows it isn’t right. He should be grading your work honestly, not letting you fall behind academically. But he can already picture your reaction. The way your face would fall, the way your shoulders would slump if you got the grade you actually earned. It would break his heart, so Ryland lets it slide.
He lets out a quiet sigh, staring down at your paper a little too long. Without even realizing it, he finds himself panting, his hand over his lap rubbing at his growing bulge. Thinking about a student like this makes his stomach twist with guilt, but the guilt doesn’t make the excitement go away. If anything, it only heightens is.
Small visions of you and him together flood his mind. Driving you back to your dorm after class, your hand in his. Catching your eye during lectures and holding it just a knowing second too long while the other students sit oblivious. His thoughts keep building, and he can feel himself getting worked up over it, stuck between knowing it’s wrong and not being able to help himself.
He can’t stop thinking about what it would be like to offer you extra tutoring, because God knows you need it. The idea plays out too clearly in his head.. Sitting across from you in an empty library, the silence heavy around you, his hand slipping into your pants while you try to stay quiet. He doesn’t even notice when he unbuckles his own pants, his hand moving under his boxers almost on its own.
He lets out a sharp huff, frustrated with himself and his own perversions. It feels ridiculous, getting this worked up over something as small as your glitter blue ink resting against the paper. The only thing he can focus on now is getting it over with, forcing his body to stop so he can get back to work.
His head tilts back against the chair, eyes fixed on your usual desk, the small blue glitter pen you accidentally left behind, like a reminder. His breath catches as he hunches forward, a quiet gasp slipping out as he finishes into his own hand. It’s messy and shameful, something he knows he should feel worse about, but in the moment, he doesn’t seem to care.
After he finishes, he glances down at the mess in his hand. Without really thinking, he lifts it and smears a small amount onto the bottom of your paper, watching it soak into the page and leave behind a faint, off white stain along the edge.
He lets out a quiet, almost disbelieving smile, shaking his head at himself. He can’t ignore how wrong it feels, how perverse it is. Marking your paper like that, leaving something behind where you might see it. His own dirty little secret.
He cleans his hands with a few tissues, tossing them into the trash before picking your report back up. With a soft sigh, he places it onto the graded stack. There are still plenty of papers left to get through, but now he feels steadier.. A smile on his face and a small stain on his pants as he gets back to work.
r.grace x fem!reader ⋮ soft&sweet ⋮ eridian chaos ⋮ ryland calls reader 'sunshine' ⋮ adrian mention !! ⋮ no use of y/n ⋮ reader's appearance is not detailed ⋮ fluffy fluff
It looks like it's 5am.
The biodome was still in its night cycle, slowly brightening every few minutes to imitate a day on earth. there's a soft breeze that feels like a gentle caress. it's the perfect temperature for Ryland's sweater that's wrapped around your shoulders.
You're sitting on the beach with him. His leg presses against yours, body heat bleeding into your skin. A mug of tea sits in your hands. it's spiced and goes down easy, feeling like a soothing balm in the chilly weather.
Ryland has his own cup, held haphazardly as he looks out at the water with squinted eyes. You can only see the side of his face—the delicate slope of his nose, angle of his jaw, and the way his throat works each swallow. Even in the dim light he's the most breathtaking person you'd ever seen.
This had become a ritual for the two of you. Each morning, you'd wake up early to be in each other's company. Some days you'd sit on the beach, play Scrabble, or discuss the silly things the Pebbles said during class. It was a slice of normality you'd clung to. Having quiet moments with Ryland before the day chaos set in.
You take a deep breath in, letting the salty air infiltrate your lungs. The Eridians had finally gotten the temperature perfect. It was warm but not too warm, and the perfect amount of cool to feel refreshing.
Ryland lazily wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him. He's solid muscle but touches tender. Gentle in each motion. His head dips down to press a kiss against your temple, sighing against your skin.
The scent of soap and mint twirls around you like a comforting embrace. It's a smell that's always lingered around Ryland. You were sure if you could only smell this for the rest of your life, you'd be happy. He smelled like home.
"Missed you last night." You mumble, letting your head rest on his shoulder.
"I know." His sleep-frayed voice comes out low and deep. "Sorry, sunshine. Rocky was asking me so many questions last night—and then Adrian chimed in and.."
A soft laugh bubbles in your throat. Leave it up to the two of the biggest chatterboxes to keep your chatterbox boyfriend chattering for hours.
"What were they asking you about?"
Ryland sighs, pausing for a moment. His voice comes out sheepishly. "They were on the laptop. Rocky found out about marriage and Adrian wanted to know when we would—"
"No way." You murmur, big grin stretching across your face. You crane your neck to look up at him from your place on his shoulder.
Ryland looks down, breath fanning across your face softly. "Way. She was all like, why grace and mate no marry, question?"
That sounded exactly like Adrian. You could hear her sassy tone in your head, even envision her putting one of her limbs against her carapace like she was cocking her hip.
"What'd you say?" You ask him, voice softening.
Ryland gazes at your sparkling eyes. They're the eyes he looked into each morning and night, knowing he'd never be able to live without them. There's a second where he doesn't want to admit what he said. It brought a light blush to dust his cheeks, making him swallow before speaking.
"I..uh, said I hadn't asked you yet."
Yet.
That meant something entirely different from I haven't asked. He said he hadn't asked yet. Meaning the thought of it had been in his mind—and that he intended to act upon it. The breath is your lungs gets stolen. It catches in your throat, frozen there like a lump.
He wanted to marry you.
It didn't matter when—what mattered was that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you. Warmth unfurls through your limbs like wildfire.
The mug of tea gets discarded in the sand. Your hand comes up to cup the side of his face and bring him in for a gentle kiss.
His lips brush against yours. He smiles into the kiss, pressing tenderly against yours. It's loving. It's the kind of kiss that's light in pressure but heavy in words.
When you pull back, you're looking at him like he'd hung the stars in the sky.
"I'd say yes if you did." You whisper.
Ryland's eyes widen. there's a second where he thinks he didn't hear you correctly. But he had. You said you'd agree to getting married to him. His heart skips a beat in his chest.
The tips of his ears turn pink. "Yeah?"
You grin at the bashful tone of his voice. "Yeah, I would."
He lets your words sink into his skin.
They unlock a feeling of adoration in his chest. He'd thought about asking you to marry him since they touched down on Erid. It was in the back of his mind, speaking to him like the green goblin mask. But he's always pushed it away. It was unethical. The Eridians had no idea how to throw a wedding—well, they didn't until last night.
But now they do.
And gosh, he wanted to marry you.
"Marry me." He says quietly, raising a hand to cup your cheek. "Make me the happiest man on Erid and be the women I wake up to and fall asleep to."
His thumb runs over your cheekbone, a bittersweet smile curving the corners of his mouth up.
Tears spring to your eyes.
They prickle at your lashes, just collecting, never doing you the service of dripping down your cheek.
