Running week 5

2.74 miles in 45 minutes. That's alright I think! It's almost the length of a 5k race so I think I am improving quite a bit! All I have to do now is do more running than walking! After that 3 hr hike, the run was a breeze. Maybe it was just the inspiration I needed to keep going with the program. A different activity to make things fresh again!

Why budget?

I have been trying to figure out where my money is going and what I have been spending it on. I want to be more aware of my money so I can make sure I stay focused on where it is going and what I do with my life. I enjoy buying clothes and eating out, it's true, but what makes me happier? When I can travel, when I have the freedom to move to where I want to be, when I can pursue a career without being stuck in my current one. Being in debt and being poor sucks. After this, I vow never to be in debt again. I've had to give up a lot now, but it's all stuff I want, not need. I KNOW that it will be better in the end!

I am just glad to be home! No matter how much I miss my boyfriend, sleeping in a tiny, single bed makes me cranky after a few days.

Made cornbread muffins today! We didn't really have food in the house, which actually means we didn't have any READYMADE food. So I decided to actually make something. I was short sugar, but they still turned out pretty good. The whole process took a little over half an hr? not bad! Just needs a smudge of raspberry jam and they are perfect!

Top of Mt. Si in Washington state. 4167 elevation, 4.4 miles long. It was a 3 hr trek of sweat and tears to the top. Totally worth it to sit on top of a mountain, looking down on everything in the world.
