In the past, I’ve done commissions loosely or every now and then, but right now, the situation is urgent and I need your help.  As you may have seen from this post, our friend Red is in desperate and urgent need for cancer surgery and needs $3,000 quickly, or his life is in serious danger. So far, as of writing this post, there has been about $1,300 donated, so we’re almost halfway there!  But this is incredibly time sensitive, and we really need the money to help him.

For my commissions, I’ve decided I’m fine with drawing anything; any fandom, any ship, any OC or self insert or whatever you need, and I want the money for each commission to be sent to the paypal listed in that post (again, link).  I will not have a commission slot limit, so don’t worry about overloading me.  And if you need more examples, my full art tag is here. For specific details or questions about commissions, please send them directly to my askbox or IM messenger. 

And even if you can’t commission or donate, please spread this post and that one around.  Anything would be appreciated.

       how could touya make him feel better?

       it seems like he’s trying to quell his anger to quiet him down, to act like all of this didn’t happen and cheren can’t do that. he can’t just brush 4 years of worry under the fucking rug like it didn’t happen. four years of worry, four years of anxiety, four years of working himself to the bone to keep himself from over thinking.

       he can’t. he can’t do that.

       “i don’t know,” he says honestly enough, ice still on the tip of his tongue. “how the hell should i know? there’s nothing you can say to fix how much i’ve worried over you. it’s over, it’s done with; there’s no way you can fix what i’ve already felt.” his fingers move to the tie clasp to fiddle with it, trying to reign in his composure as much as he can. he needs to be calm. calm, calm, calm – anger doesn’t suit him.

       “what do you want to say?”

            “Nothing, I guess.” he pushes himself to stand from his position on the desk, taking the few steps forward to invade Cheren’s space.  His hat missing leaves his hair as wild as his dark eyes, clouded with something obscure, uncertain. He stares the Cheren down with them. 

           “You seem to have said how I felt already.  Least, what you assume.” When they were children, Cheren had always stood taller, maybe even up to the point where they’d taken their first steps together as trainers. Now, Touya held more than a few inches on him, and when he speaks his tone is even and calm but saturated in aggression. “We can pretend for a minute you’re right about all of that, too. I don’t care about you, that’s why I didn’t call. You’re not really worth my time----just someone who happened to be around before I could leave. What will you do now? Still be angry with me? Better yet, what if I did die? Would you deny that too as you denied me since I contacted you?”

       “remember that you’re not going to– you’ve already treated me like shit by calling me.” unbelievable. this was so fucking unbelievable. he sounds so selfish and cheren’s sure touya isn’t even aware of the words that are coming out of his mouth.

       it’s like he doesn’t care at all.

       “i’m not over-reacting! i’m so sorry that i’ve worried about you and thought you died over the past four years because you couldn’t communicate.” his jaw tightens and his face flushes out of anger; god, he hates that he’s losing his composure, but he can’t help it. he’s wrong. touya is so wrong.

       “remind me to stop caring about you then since worrying is over-reacting. wanting to hear from you is fucking over-reacting, too, huh? why the hell don’t you just leave again then since you don’t care so much!”

            He scowls, head throbbing. Was this really his fault for miscommunicating? Cheren didn’t even want to let him inside, much less hear any excuses.

           “What do you want me to say, then? What could possibly make you feel any better?”

       “you couldn’t call,” he parrots the words with a click of his tongue tacked at the end, showing that he wasn’t about to take such an excuse without an explanation. who the hell did touya take him for anyway? what did he mean he couldn’t spare at least one phone call to let him know if he was okay? was he just that beneath him?

       ugh, it makes his blood boil all over again. 

       “i don’t care. you can’t just show up out of nowhere and expect everything to be okay. i was worried fucking sick about you, you know that? for a while, i wasn’t sure what happened to you. hell, i didn’t even know if you’d come back. but no, no, it’s all fine and everything should be cool now that you’re here. give me a break, touya.” his fingers curl against the fabric of his shirt as his hand balls into a fist, shaking his head once, twice before he has to look away.

       “fuck you. fuck you, touya.”

           “Why don’t you get out of your feelings for a second and remember that I’m not going to treat you like shit because I think it’s a cool thing to do? You know damn well I would have jumped on a chance to contact you if I had one. But I didn’t. So here we are.”  he removes his hat and places it next to Cheren’s folder, fingers brushing past his bangs to rub a bit at his forehead. Cheren was beginning to give him a frustration headache.

           “You can think I’m lying to you all you want. I don’t care either. I’ll lower my expectations from now on so I’m not disappointed or surprised at how much you over-react.”

       “no, i wouldn’t,” he spits out the words easily enough, words and tone ice cold because why would he? how could he believe such a thing like that after being gone for that long? without a single call or text?

       idiot. idiot, idiot, idiot.

       and he sucks in a breath to try to quell his irritation, but it doesn’t work. oh no, it wasn’t going away that easily. “i’m not your mom and yes, i’m mad about it. i have every right to be mad, wouldn’t you agree?”

           “I couldn’t call.” he wants to elaborate, he really does--but how could he in a way that would make sense?  Luckily, his mother had no interest in his whereabouts as she’d figured he would return to her eventually ( which he did, though he does regret not saying goodbye ) but Cheren wouldn’t take any half-assed excuse, or in this case the lack thereof.

           Apologizing for it was bordering on patronizing and empty; Cheren was upset enough with him, so he’d have to find some other way to ask for forgiveness.  “I’m here now, though, so...”

       “i look like a neanderthal?” he gives a small huff of disbelief, blue eyes on his face. “and who’s the one with chapped lips? if anyone looks like a neanderthal, it’s you.” sure his hair is rather long and he needs a hair cut, but it looks nice – at least that’s what he thinks.

       “why do you say that? i could easily leave you to freeze outside without an ounce of remorse. you’re giving me way too much credit.” he had every intention of just letting him stay outdoors only because that’s what he thinks touya deserves – or at least a fraction of what he deserves.

       “i’ll ask again: what do you want?”

           He licks his lips self-consciously, avoiding his friend’s taunting gaze.  “If I told you I just wanted to hang out again, would you believe me?”

           Throwing insults at each other was nothing new, though Touya has known him long enough to pick up when he’s being serious.  “I didn’t expect you to be so standoffish.  Mom practically flung herself at me... are you really that mad about it?”
