That has never been implied by me so I do not know where you got that from. Yeah, well we all know what James thinks about Lily. Thatâs no surprise. I think more than that will happen. You never know with them. Just this conversation could get you into a lot of trouble.Â
I think it has been implied. You're implying it right now and you just don't know that you are. I'll take the trouble. It won't be that bad in the end.
YOU DONâT THINK IâM PRETTY PETE? My world is a lie.
Oh calm down, Remus. If you were a woman I'd marry you.
Fine, fine, itâs not my finest hour slipping a plant pun into our conversation, Peter but â plant puns and jokes are funny. So, yes, I was joking.Â
I hoped you were. If not I might have had Pomfrey take a look at you because you'd have been completely mad.
Pitiful. I really expected more from you.Â
You sound like my father when he found out I was no good at sports.
Which, mind you, can be very fascinating.
How?
Restricted || Mary & Peter
She tried to calm her racing heart, but it didnât seem to be working. Even attempting to control her breathing was backfiring on her. Mary raised an eyebrow when he tried to reassure her that they wouldnât get caught, but the confidence of the statement was contradicted by the red on his cheeks and the slight stammer of the words. âYou donât sound sure,â she said, shifting from one foot back to the other, but his next words served to do what the first hadnât. They would be able to know if someone was coming and they wouldnât be seen while they were gone. At least it made this adventure a bit safer, though she knew nothing was foolproof. There was still a chance they could get caught. She shrugged at his next words before she responded. âWell, nothing I guess.â Mary moved to get under the cloak, instantly noticing how close it forced them to stay. âIf we get caught,â she warned, âI will say you forced me to do this.â
Peter let out a low chuckle. "I doubt they'll believe me, Mary." he said with a shake of his head. "I'm no Sirius, who's powers of coercion seem to be unmatched." He noticed that Mary was very close and warm. She was one of the girls he was comfortable with, but he still felt the need to squirm nervously. He inhaled, letting the air fill his lungs, and refrained from wiggling around like a prepubescent boy with a crush on his sixth grade teacher. He noted that Mary smelled like vanilla and vaguely fruity, an altogether pleasant and intoxicating combination. Her had no time to dwell on her scent right now. He opened up the map and observed it. The hallway was clear, no little footprints popping up across the enchanted parchment. They could safely begin their journey. "I hope you're not uncomfortable," he said referring to their proximity. He was sure that a girl as pretty as Mary had spent lots of time in close quarters with guys, but he doubted that the guys were as awkward as he was.
Of course I would. And who ever said that youâre my dearest friend? I donât remember saying that. I think your imagining things. Am I really prettier than them? Hmm, never thought I would hear that. Better not let any of them hear you say that or you may be kicked out of your little club.Â
It was implied that I am your dearest friend. I would say that you are. I'm pretty sure James thinks Lily's prettier than Sirius. When that gets spoken out loud hell will break loose. I hardly think they'll disown me for finding you prettier than them.
Have they done that tâyou, mate?
Not lately at least. Maybe when I was a child.
Go ahead and try it.Â
One moment...
How's that?
Youâre an exciting person, too, Peter.
I'm as exciting as a wet autumn leaf.
Restricted || Mary & Peter
Mary wasnât entirely certain why she had agreed to this ridiculous plan. She was almost certain theyâd end up getting caught and then she didnât even know what would happen. A scolding, detention, worse? But another part of her was curious, even if she would never admit that. Peter had told her she might like trouble if she gave it a shot, so this was her trying it out a bit, trying to have a different sort of fun. But as she stood there, waiting on her partner in crime, she had to admit that she felt a stab of adrenaline. And she couldnât say that she didnât like the feeling. She heard her name being called and jumped, before her mind recognized the voice and saw the person underneath the cloak. âYou didnât have to scare me half to death,â she whispered, trying to remain calm. She let out a deep breath before continuing. âAll right. Letâs get this over with before we get caught.â
"Sorry, sorry," He replied, blushing a deep red. Mary was dead pretty and Peter wasn't the best around girls that were highly attractive, even if they were friends of his. "You-you-you won't get caught," he stammered. He was actually very confident in his ability to get Mary and himself into the restricted section of the library without incident. "We've got the map and the cloak and we won't get caught," he reassured her. He sincerely hoped that no one would find them. For some reason he felt like there was a lot on the line here and he could not figure out why. He opened up the cloak a bit, for Mary to squeeze underneath it with him. "What're we waiting for?" he asked brightly, smiling down at the petite girl, beckoning her to join him under the invisibility cloak.
Try it and Iâll hex you.Â
You really wouldn't do that to me now would you? I'm your dearest friend and you're a lot prettier than James, Remus, and Sirius. Don't tell them that though.
I seriously doubt that.Â
I can demonstrate if you'd like.
Oh, you know. Same ole, same ole. Stuck between being the only exciting thing around, and sleeping.
Well you are definitely an exciting person.
