What's one fun fact about all the skeletons
Howdy broski, thanks for the ask!
So, a house full of dudes is gonna smell like shit, skeletons or not. However, for having like 12+ guys in on house it isn’t rank af! (surprisng!) Classic unexpectedly is the one to thank for that. He began to notice a stench by the second pair of brothers to arrive. Ever since, he has quietly been buying diffusers and air purifiers and candles.
In the story, I think I’ve mentioned before that the monsters have been on the surface for about two years now. At first, Cap was not really great at cooking. One of the first things he did though with others was actually join cooking classes (though I’d also like to add he thought and still thinks his cooking was perfectly great before hand lol)! He still goes monthly with Toriel and Undyne. That’s the reason why the food isn’t completely inedible in the house like how some fics make it to be.
The Underswap brothers were the first to arrive from the machine and have been here for at least half a year now. As you can probably already tell, Blue does a lot to run the house. He does the most organizing for schedules and chores and manages the calendar. He is also most often playing mediator for feuds because wow there are a lot in this house. Red tried to challenge him once on why he tries to act like the boss when he’s not, and he learned the hard way that Blue is most probably the strongest skeleton in the house. A lot hides behind the “innocent” smile…
While Stretch isn’t technically employed, he does have a small income. He does ghost writing and editing. Blue tried to get him to attend the local community college classes for creative writing because he thinks his brother would enjoy them. Stretch refused on the grounds of too much work and disliking school. He does have a science fiction novel he is trying to publish under an alias.
On a related note, the cover artist for Stretch’s stories is actually Rus. The two get along quite well because they’re both quiet creatives. Similar wave lengths. Rus is the only other skeleton in the house who has read Stretch’s writing. Rus privately wants to try making a video game with Stretch, either an rpg or a visual novel, but hasn’t asked him yet. The two are good friends.
You know how a lot of the Papyrus personality variants have interests in things like cars or motorcycles? For Black, he actually likes ships and boats a lot. He has a little ship in a bottle in his room on display. Red once gave him a picture of a boat and Black, suspicious, asked why. Then Red said it’s because the boat’s name is “Boaty-Mc-Boat-Face” (this is a real thing btw, it’s so stupid lmao). Black kept the picture.
While Red is an asshole (and knows he’s an asshole, according to Mars), you can probably tell by now that he is secretly not completely an ass. He likes ragebaiting people for sure, especially dumb kids on the internet and his brother. But he is also very perceptive of what others like. His care is kinda weaponized in that way. “Here’s something I know you want/like but I’m gonna only give it to a way to irritate you.”
Edge seems like he would like tough guy music. Like rock or metal or rap. This is the opposite. His secret he will never reveal is that he really likes more pop-y music. Looking you in the eye as I tell you Edge is a Miku fan. Also his social media fyp is full of cat videos. He, Rus, and Mars have a group chat where they send cat videos to each other.
Edge still hasn’t forgiven Mars for calculating the calories of one of the cats once. He did it because he thought it would be really funny. Out of the skeletons, Mars is the least interested in going out to the city and town and such. He enjoys it, sure, but he likes taking it easy much more. One of his favorite ways to spend his day is sleeping in a hammock he strung up in the backyard. You’ll often find him napping in the sun there. One place he really wants to go to, though, is the beach. He wants to lay in the warm sand.
Jupiter’s favorite pastime, aside from making the house look really nice with all the plants and flowers he plants, is having picnics and afternoon tea. There’s a nice spot in the woods with a little lake that he found while on a walk one day. He and Blue and Cap sometimes head out there to have a little picnic. Sometimes they’ll bring different word puzzles to solve while they’re at it.
I feel like Rus and Chalk would get along better if Rus knew that Chalk likes art as well. The type of art that Chalk likes is different though. He finds graffiti and street art very fascinating and cool. I won’t say too much on this bc slight spoilers, but he is pretty experienced in making that sort of art and murals. He would love spray paint.
Last but not least, Graphite! His fun fact is that he knows how to ballroom dance, and he’s actually quite good at it. He taught himself how when he began getting promotions from Inspectors to Commissar. He wanted to make sure he fit in with the etiquette expected at political social events. He ended up disliking ballroom dance less than he thought he would. But he still thinks it’s a bit ridiculous. He would hate to admit it’s a skill he has, out of slight embarrassment.
