Hello, guys! 🙋🏽♂️I hope everyone is doing well! Thus went another day of study. 📚✏️This time, I decided to tackle the second round of the 2020 exam. 😁 My biggest difficulty has been in the execution of the answers. Mine are usually extremely short and incomplete. 👹However, I have noticed that I am improving in that aspect. 🥳

Reading/writing on the grass in the sun is an unparalleled activity isn’t it. I’m finishing Rainbow Milk, the stunning debut from Paul Mendez. It’s the turn of the millennium and Jesse is abruptly cast out from his family and the Jehovah’s Witness community he grew up in when they find out he’s gay. Subsequently love, fatherhood, religion, music, sex and race are jumbled up in a hot, sticky, heart-breaking, beautiful mess as he navigates sex work in London as a young black teen. The writing is at once sensual and celebratory of the male body, it’s crevices, and sweat, and hair, and also frustrated, angsty and angry at the way whiteness obliterates, takes up space, erases everything. 

The book’s honesty and directness is refreshing, perfect for a sweaty day ☀️
