                                   MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT 

After speaking to a few people who have seen this movie and have Autism, I’ve decided NOT to have Pru with this condition. Though the article about this movie on Variety claimed that Aaron Tveit researched Asperger’s to play the role, that is the ONLY source I can find say that, and it’s not even a direct quote from Tveit himself.  My friends with autism said that though it could be possible that Pru suffers from brain damage given to him from his mother AND autism, that portraying this could be worrisome because the average person might confuse this situation and think that people with autism are unstable like Pru is, which is not always the case. Autism is a very wide spectrum, and many people who have it are COMPLETELY functional. But the stereotype is that people diagnosed with this are not. That being said, he ABSOLUTELY suffers from brain damage. This is pretty much stated in the movie, and I will be portraying that as best as I can. I will be updating my rules and description shortly, and I will be queueing this a few times.

      “Well, Pruitt is a very cool name, indeed.” She stopped to listen again and gave a small nod of understanding. Part of her knew the feeling of having something happen because of parents, no matter how much she’d like to forget about it. “I’m sorry, hon. I, um- I got hit by something as a kid, too. Sort of– my mom was throwing rocks through the front door window and one hit me in the back of the head. It was a pretty good sized rock, too.” Her head had lifted just slightly enough so that she could see when he moved his hair, before she gave another nod.

            “Basically that’s what I do, yeah. Sometimes it’s a little weird ‘cause I’m not used to it, but being a legal adult, I gotta start somewhere, right? And yeah. It’s good that you’ve got Jesse. That’s definitely a really good thing.”

                            “--Why was she throwing rocks through the front door?” He asked, tilting his head over to the side. “That’s -- weird. It’s weird.” He shook his head, and then rubbed his neck. He moved his fingers around to try to imagine a rock hitting him behind there, and he shivered at the thought. Ow. 

                           “Yeah, I guess so. Gotta start somewhere. It’s good you like it, though. Being by yourself. You get lonely, ever?”

                            HE DIDN’T LIKE BEING IN THE RAIN, but he wasn’t sure he liked being next to this stranger either. But the barn had to be warmer than the stupid water coming down from the heavens, so he elected to go inside and look around for a moment. At least that wind was off him, too. It was biting. “Um --” Be polite. Like Jesse reminded. “Thank -- Thank you.” He said, swallowing. He didn’t really look at her though. He looked down. Her legs were nice. 

                           “The storm’s not so fun.” He said, absentmindedly. “But you think it’ll be over soon, then?

Mike eyes the kid standing in front of him. His shirt’s a bit too big on him, and he doesn’t look like he belongs in the middle of the desert. “Got it,” he tells the kid.   “You’re not a bad guy. Then what are you, huh?” Mike’s gaze flicks from the boy to the bodies on the ground.

“Keep your hands in the air for me.” Mike holsters his gun and steps forward, grabbing one of the guy’s hands and then the other to cuff them behind his back. “Is that a threat?” There’s something about the kid’s speech, something about the way he’s talking that’s telling Mike that he shouldn’t take him too seriously, but all the same. He’s got protocol to follow.

After reading the guy–shit, he’d better find out his name–his Miranda rights, he walks him over to one of the cars on premises. He eases him down into the car, then crouches down a little so he’s looking at the kid eye-to-eye.

“What’s your name, kid?”

                          THAT WAS A DUMB QUESTION; of course it was a threat. If everything Jesse did, he did for Pru, then everything Pru did, he did for Jesse. And that included threatening this man. If he was going to hurt Jesse, yes, this man would be in a world of trouble. 

                          Still, he didn’t fight this guy as he cuffed him. He let himself be dragged into the car, even though this entire thing was uncomfortable, and the metal cuffs around his hands were already making him anxious. He listened to his rights carefully. Truthfully, he already knew them. Not because he had been caught before, but it was common knowledge to know that you had the right to remain silent. And that was important.

                          Pru wasn’t stupid -- so when the other came down and asked his name, he didn’t say anything. It was his right. The name would probably come out eventually, but he didn’t want to talk. He made brief eye-contact with the agent, and then looked away and stared at the inside of the car.

                          He wasn’t giving him his name. It was his right.

He dealth with some abuse when he was a kid, Tveit revealed exclusively to Broadway.com. You come to find out he got hit in the head with a shovel by his mom and because of this, he has some issues. It’s definitely a part I’ve never played before. I get to really challenge myself with some physical impediments. I’m nervous about it, but in a really good way. Good nervous!

OH NO, oh no. That was not what he had meant. This whole being on the run and living a domestic life really started to have an effect on his already very small discussion skills anyway. He quickly shook his head to correct himself. “Of course Jesse loves you by himself. I just meant, well, God is helping him to take care of you.” Sounded better already.

“That’s nice of you. And okay; I won’t show myself to your brother.” He hadn’t planned on this anyway. “It’s a secret.”

                            “Oh - gotcha. Okay. That makes more sense.” He made quick eye contact with Gabe, but then decided to look off in the other direction again. It just made him feel more comfortable. “--Thank you. For talking. And not showing yourself to Jess. I just don’t wanna freak ‘im out, that’s all. You know? Not every day you come across a guy with wings.” He let out a small chuckle.

                            He liked Gabe, though. He was quiet, which was nice. So many people seemed really loud. And some people just thought Pru was weird. For some reason. But Gabe just talked.

“YEAH, it was a dumb reason. You’re right exactly like you are.” Pru’s words were enough to make the Archangel of Vengeance liquid, but nothing of this showed. He stayed calm, his eyes slowly wandering to the young human besides him before finding their way back to the landscape ahead of them again.

“I’m sure God makes him. He loves you.”

                            “--So you think that Jesse doesn’t care for me because he wants to, but you think God makes him? That doesn’t make sense. Jesse loves me by himself. Jesse loves me by himself.” He nodded, mostly at himself, really. Completely convinced that Jesse did it out of his own volition. 

                          “Oh hey. Maybe don’t show yourself to Jess, though. He just -- he’s so careful. He might think you want to hurt me. I know you don’t want to hurt me, but Jesse’s just --” He shrugged. “I’m not gonna tell him I was talking to you.”
