Found!

I have found true joy!

It is found in the murkiest of ocean waters,

Where you cannot see your fingers from toes,

And the ends of yourself are numb with fear,

Where you hear the drill of a thousand boat engines,

So far away you know they can never hurt you,

So loud you think you are going to die

It is in this place of terror and impossibility

Where you find the treasure your soul seeks:

A luminescent pearl of unparalleled splendour,

Larger than your hands can carry.

It looks like it is a joy too great for you to bear,

But when you touch it,

POOF! It goes,

And immediately, you are still in the same dark place,

But now you are surrounded by its pearly light,

Blue waters, rainbow fish,

All the things you wanted to see,

Things God saw all along

That you could not see until

He brought you into the midst of it.

Jesus felt weak & tired, He got frustrated, He wept aloud, He grieved, He sweat blood from great stress & anxiety, He felt physical pain. This is who you’re praying to. The One who knows.

Rejected (Accepted)

I am constantly judged,

Like a low-quality, inferior, never-will-make-it product,

Failing every quality check,

Kicked off every inspection line,

"Unsalvagable," says the foreman with the helmet,

Giving me a sharp tap on my nose,

Cracking me just a little more

As I'm tossed into the reject pile.

There in the pile, I am lying, wondering

If I will ever amount to anything,

If my destiny is the reject pile,

Forever failing every quality check,

Never fulfilling a purpose I thought was mine,

Never achieving a standard I thought I was made to achieve,

There in the reject pile, I am lying, feeling sorry for myself, when

Jesus comes along and gives me a sharp tap on my broken nose,

Tapping it back into place,

"You are loved," He says, all business-like,

"Come with me."

Immediately, He scoops me up,

Because I've been broken so many times my legs don't work,

But He says, "I've got a use for you; come work for me."

And He carries me into the operating room.

I don't know where we are going; it's scary,

But there's a soft, comforting hum coming from His chest,

And when I listen,

It says,

"I love you, I love you, I love you,"

Over and over and over

There is no end to His love.
