I know people hate princess Xiyang with a burning passion bcs she's "annoying", but man, she's a well written character.
I think people need to let characters be annoying and stupid because that's why they are there in the first place, in my humble opinion.
I need everyone to see the range in styling for Chen Zheyuan in his currently filming drama…
...and so much more (and counting. There's allegedly outfits from the Warring States Period and Tang Dynasty, maybe even modern, that have yet to be filmed.)
My priority is to stay alive.

VEIL OF SHADOWS 月鳞绮纪 dir. Edward Guo, 2026.
“Only with hope can dead wood put out branches again. Hope is also like a seed. It needs time to grow and time to heal. When winter passes, reunion will come. ”

After finishing Veil of Shadows, I came across comments saying how it's not a happy ending because the memories are gone for the majority - because everything is forgotten. It's as if nothing was done, nobody had an impact on each other therefore starting with a clean slate/in a new world doesn't really make it happy. What value does it have if they can't remember all that they shared?
This stance hit me with the realization that these reactions are actually very coherent with human nature. In the core of the fear of death, there is this fear of being forgotten. Fear of being erased from this world where only being in people's memories can alleviate this fear -if it can.
And here, it was striking to recall that a character in the drama was created through borrowing other beings' parts and carved in their minds with fake memories as well as hers. And this was probably only half-insane since we had emotions that became entities, loops in which someone tried to change the course of events, illusions where one became his own father and the peculiar list goes on.
It was an inexplicable and thought-provoking journey. I simply enjoyed it very much. Besides, just like how everyone had their feelings in the aftermath, many aspects of the theme left me with my own questions:
Memories, temperament, will... Which one could be the strongest pillar of who you are?
How much does the sense of belongingness affect your actions? What would you do if you had no relation to anything?
Living a carefree life without having an influence versus carrying a huge responsibility that might precede your own interests. Which is your path?
Can there be a single purpose for one's existence? If you feel there is, how do you find and fulfill it?
This is what happens with such stimuli and what I like about them lol
