It’s a dark and stormy night at Konami manor
t's 9 PM on a rainy night in the Konami manor. Many pictures can be seen with Konami's great achievements; Castlevania, Contra, Silent Hill, etc. All the sudden the phone rings. It continues ringing till the answering machine picks up.
"Hey, Konami? It's me, your fanbase remnants again. I just wanted to call to ask, is everything okay?"
The camera starts panning across its achievement pictures from Castlevania 4 to the Contra series
"We havent heard from you a while, and when we have, we've just been hearing that you've been making some dangerous life choices. "
The camera continues panning from Contra to the Silent Hill series
"I mean I know it's been a couple months since you and, well..."he" split up, but come on, I've seen you get out of some bad spots before! You're Konami! Why don't you give them some of that up-up-down-down stuff that was all the rage back then!"
Thunder cracks and lightning flashes as the rain begins falling harder.
"Look, we've just been worried about you alright? I mean, I dont know if this is true or not, but we heard you've been trying that new thing going around on the streets called "mobile games", and have been trying to recreate your relationship that you and he had..."
It eventually pans to a picture of Kojima standing in front of the Konami building.
"Look, I wanna tell you as your friend that he's gone. So don't try to make this next relationship be like your last, because you know as well as I do it won't be the same. But don't think that its over just because he's moved on, you know? You've done a lot of great things even before you two were together."
As this call plays out, lightning flashes again revealing the sillhouette of a noose tied to the one of the support beams of one of Konami's empty rooms. He looks at the noose with eyes full of regret for his past mistakes before panning his gaze to the answering machine.
"So, don't think that its over for you. You know it's not over, right? ...You know we're here for you, right? ...Give me a call back when you can, okay?"
