so I’m not done with the chapter yet but here’s a story in three parts of something that happened while I was at work just after reaching through the the second half of chapter 5 the day prior

(Wearing a shirt that says MAD MEW MEW IS GONNA APPEAR IN DELTARUNE I SWEAR) so this is one of the 4 reasons this chapter was like made in a lab to appeal to me specifically

I didn’t notice the figurine at the festival so I was going off nothing but deranged lunacy, the shopkeeper dialogue and the fact that the first two chords of Shop 3 are like, vaguely similar to the first two chords in the mew mew kissy cutie opening theme from the Undertale Switch port reveal trailer

and then the song literally didn’t matter at all

any time i see someone nostalgically reminiscing and or referencing one of these old deviant art lick icon bases i always think about the fact that there is unquestionably an alternate reality where I spent most of my formative experiences online fully immersing myself in that specific sector of early 2010's online culture rather than my current reality where I instead made crappy undertale au midi flips and remixes on sound cloud plus silly crossover fanfics for myself on ao3. i then think about the fact that adult alternate reality me is probably identical to current adult me in every possible way and then i simultaneously feel a sense of pride and second hand embarrassment knowing that to be unquestionably true

every once and a while I see a video on my yt feed from this creator who I once saw vent tweet about desperately wanting to transition but not being in a space where she’s able to do so and she’s still out here he / him’ing herself and she deleted that tweet before I could comment and whenever I see her videos a part of me dies on the inside but like what can I say ya know

anyway I forgot how good this series was till I gave it a rewatch. as a someone who grew up way too invested in Minecraft creepy pastas and args it’s been such a pleasure
