where do you get fashion inspo from? i adore all the alt outfits you put together

HAHAHA honestly it’s a mix of pieces I’ve remembered with scrolling through blogs and online archives, also “studying” a bunch of fashion books at Barnes and Noble when I was younger.

Studying being just meandering the store for hours just flipping through the books. I should’ve just gone to the library ? I think b&n just had the books I enjoyed more.

Anyways, Just thinking about the characters choosing outfits and putting them on was always so comforting(and inspiring) to me. It just made me feel like they were even more real lol

If I had to choose a definitive answer, a bunch of Taschen published fashion books, and “streetwear” style books that were published before 2014 . AND A BUNCH of tumblr fashion runway archives, both magazine and fashion weeks. Internet archive also has some old books too.

I don’t use references when I draw outfits, I just go “ oh I think you would dress like this because of this.” Or “ Oh I think a jacket like this would be very cute(cool) on you.”

It’s really all made up and inspired by what the outcome could be.

Not the influencer type of shit you see online but REAL fits you’d see on the streets of LA.
