News from the Future: Outcome of the Outbreak of 2109
It would come as no surprise if you know nothing of this great, historic event as there is zero concrete, Internet-based evidence it ever occurred. All accounts of it happening are on paper or from witness accounts, as they have only been found in journal entries and from stories passed down word-of-mouth through generations. For this article, Pulp Oddyssey took an objective look at primary paper and conversational sources to piece together this historical account.

What was the Outbreak of 2109?
The virus of 2109, which is now identified as a strain of Das Dotz, originated in the musician population on Milky Way’s Earth.
According to most accounts, the virus likely originated from the soundwaves of a satanic song played by a rock band in their garage. The waves are supposed to have entered through the ears of musicians and caused their pupils to spin.
Hopping from music scene to music scene on Milky Way’s Earth, the virus infected millions of musicians and their fans. The transfer from musician to a normal person*, allegedly occurred when a record player at an evening event skipped, casting thousands of flecks of dust (vibrating with infected sound waves) from grooves in the vinyl into the room, which event attendees likely inhaled. The infected’s eyeballs aggressively spun in endless circles.
So the story goes: One single infected human traveled through a wormhole to the Hamun Pluse, where it contaminated another individual, who infected a single community. From there, it continued to spread, threatening the livelihood and lifestyles of entities across the universe. Governments from the Milky Way to the Pluse attempted to contain it, but were not successful until humans in the Pluse made a plan to find solutions and gave themselves the opportunity to reprogram their oppressors.
In the Hamun Pluse, the contamination was not controlled until the year 2200. On Milky Way Earth, that year was approximately 2020.
When did the outbreak end?
After 91 years (Hamun Pluse years are equivalent to days on Milky Way’s Earth) of Robots’ unsuccessful attempts at creating vaccines and containing the virus, humans hatched a plan. Banning together for the common cause, humans ran out the planet’s connection to the Internet by excessive use. Each citizen was asked to stream large files from each one of their devices at once. After the Internet momentarily crashed, the Robot establishment lost power for several minutes, and in that short amount of time, humans were able to reprogram their Robot overlords.
Using the ideas of the PROG (People Regarding Oppression as Gross, more popularly known as People Righteously Opposed to Government) human movement, a heroic computer expert named Bern E. Volent hacked into the Robot system and deleted information on the virus, including, any history of its existence. Immediately, those infected (nearly 99% of the population on the Hamun Pluse, but less on most other Earths) were cured. Spirals in the infected’s eyeballs dispersed into atoms which traveled through time & space & reformed into stars. The impact quickly rippled throughout the universe and the impact of all those infected over time reversed. The only accounts remaining come from a paper trail of diary entries & sketches made by humans during the time of the pandemic.
What was the outcome?
In the Hamun Pluse, post-virus human-oppressor relationships have changed dramatically since pre-virus days. Once humans erased data on the virus, humans programmed Robots with new requirements for their governing. Inevitable that the Robot establishment would assume power immediately after Internet reconnection, humans intelligently took preemptive action.
A few new requirements include:
Robots must give humans monthly finances which equate to their own
Robots must admit that “money” isn’t real and that they made it up
Humans are each given a home with beds and pillows for each inhabitant
Humans are given enough food to feed their families
Robots effectively serve humans & must make decisions only based on meeting humans personal needs
However awful the circumstance & grave the loss entities all over all Earths experienced during this terrible pandemic, positive outcomes emerged which altered the course of history in the Hamun Pluse and on other planets, throughout many galaxies, forever.
*According to the presiding social code dictionary of RFF (Robots for Fascism), a normal person is defined as someone who does not play music.
