Today’s Moment of Amanda is from last September. In this case it’s really a moment of me.
Right now she’s on a plane from Melbourne, Australia, to Dallas, Texas, where she’s going to start mixing the new album. I’m giving her getting-over-jet-lag time and starting-to-mix-the-album time before we get back together. Four days from now.
Not that I’m counting, obviously.
Daaw. The cutest couple
We are ready to dance.Â
The 6 months old, Mr. Sunu.
I WANT A KITTY SO MUCH
Moving to California was the best thing that ever happened to me. Well, except being far away from you.
I do miss North Carolina sometimes though.Â
SO BEAUTIFUL
I've been drinking tea before school every day and it makes me happy (:

INTERNET SLAP ME TILL I START TAGGING POSTS AGAIN
I KEEP FORGETTING
I am legitimately more attracted to Azmarie (from America's Next Top Model) than I have been to anyone in a really long time. Â Maybe ever.
(Also that gif with the awkward pockets made me laugh SO HARD)
Guess what? Boobs.
So I made this because of this.
Feel free to use if you are planning on seducing a writer. Or writer-like person. Or anyone, really.
I thought, I wonder if anyone’s made one, yet. So I looked, and there it was. I love it when things move at the speed of internet.

As requested by too many people: making the last post rebloggable
birdartpoetry asked: Mister Gaiman, you’re kickass. I was just wondering, what do you think is the best way to seduce a writer? I figured your answer would be pretty spectacular.
In my experience, writers tend to be really good at the inside of their own heads and imaginary people, and a lot less good at the stuff going on outside, which means that quite often if you flirt with us we will completely fail to notice, leaving everybody involved slightly uncomfortable and more than slightly unlaid.
So I would suggest that any attempted seduction of a writer would probably go a great deal easier for all parties if you sent them a cheerful note saying “YOU ARE INVITED TO A SEDUCTION: Please come to dinner on Friday Night. Wear the kind of clothes you would like to be seduced in.”
And alcohol may help, too. Or kissing. Many writers figure out that they’re being seduced or flirted with if someone is actually kissing them.
This also works if you substitute “Nerd” for “Writer.”
Speaking as both, I really know what I’m talking about.

British designer Tom Dixon has created the Etch Web pendant lamp.
Description from Tom Dixon:
ETCH WEB is a vast 65cm wide shade with an unusual open structure, designed to cast atmospheric angular shadows when lit. Another experiment in our long running exploration of mathematics and geometry, an irregular pentagon shape is repeated 60 times across the body to create a total sphere. The enormous globe is astonishingly lightweight, weighing only 980 grams, with a correspondingly ethereal visual attitude. Formed from copper anodised aluminium through a process of digital photo-acid etching, an oversized LED bulb is suspended within the centre of Etch Web to make it the ultimate shadow play pendant.
