you don't even get how much i love the fact that most of pjo main characters have their own specific weapon. percy's riptide, annabeth's knife she get from luke at age 7, jason's gladius, piper's katoptris, leo's toolbelt (can we count it as a weapon??), hazel's spatha, frank's bow and my forever favorite, nico's stygian iron sword. idk something about them having their iconic weapons like gods have their attributes is very satisfying to my brain

What do you think about Ares in Perc Jackson? They say that he doesn't love his children when in the myths, along with Poseidon, Aphrodite, Apollo and Hermes, they are the ones who take care of them the most (they adore their babies).For example, Ares in the fight with Typhon was the last god to leave, he made sure that no one was missing and he never hurt a woman (in fact he is considered the protector of women) but no, people think that Athena is the good one.

I'd never really thought about how harsh Ares is with his children in the books. But I think it is, or could be, because he can't prove it. The most accurate way to know would be to make sure that none of them dies. He achieves this through discipline, a firm hand, and something that is not seen as love, but as demanding. Ares' passion is shown, but of course, it would have been cool if Ares could be more loving in PJ.
