Ik he looked geeked asf whenever he smoked
Theres a universe out there where telltale didn’t go bankrupt because they made a Ben Paul DLC/game
Ben being able to sneak in Lilly’s room to take those pills is genuinely wild since she basically never leaves her room after the dairy farm.
That means either:
he’s sneaking in when she’s leaves to use the bathroom/etc without being spotted by someone in the group who have fuck nothing to to but look at each other, get the drugs, and sneak out once again without someone just gazing around and seeing him
he can just sneak into an ex-military’s room, rummage through their stuff and leave without waking her up.
Ben Paul’s character could’ve been more interesting if he willingly kept himself at arm’s length from the group like constantly insisting on getting watch duty or refusing to get too far
He literally meets the group right after the apex of three months of literal psychological warfare (killing off classmates one by one just to fuck with them before ambushing) witnessing ALL of his classmates be wiped out (roughly 60-145 kids are in highschool band not counting the confirmed cheerleaders or any others).
Even if we don’t count the cut lines as canon it’s still a fact that Ben’s classmates were massacred by the bandits and this was probably the same day as when he met the motel group, so he would likely not want to get attached if something were to happen.
Thinking about how Travis and Doug could’ve been the representations of the worst of times bringing out the best of people. The first thing we hear about Doug is from Carley about how Doug had saved her life when they first met at the festival and how she didn’t expect that bravery from him, and even after that we see him run into dangerous situations without a second thought, need to block the windows or door? Sure I’ll use my whole ass body. If he disagrees with something he WILL say something even if he gets told to fuck off and when the motel gets raided DOUG is the one to shoot 3 of the bandits WITHOUT HESITATION and even after that stands up to Lilly even when everyone fears her and is literally losing her shit and when Lilly did raise that gun to Ben once again his VERY FIRST INSTINCT, no hesitation or anything, is to pull Ben behind him.
For Travis it’s a little more difficult to point out since his bravery is masked by teen stupidity and the regular Travis characterization we all mostly default to, but if we do go with the assumption that Travis was a Jack ass military kid or even a bully of some kind then it’s an extremely selfless act to try and save his teacher when running away would’ve been the easiest solution, even when we first approach Ben and Travis, Travis is literally kneeling on the ground trying to free him when for all he knows the guys that massacred and defiled their friends and other teachers were right in their tail and Mr Parker is literally SCREAMING in walker filled woods and Travis is just doing his best to save him when he has no responsibility to do so. And even if he told Ben to shut up we have to acknowledge that when Travis, after everything, was faced with three adult male strangers after an absolute blood bath probably not even hours before, his first instinct was to try and lead the situation and try to protect Mr Parker and Ben to the point of trying to pull a shot gun out of said stranger’s hands at the notion of one of them being left behind.
It years to be released
Ben falling to his death no matter what choice you make has to mean something to his character or the story
I feel melancholic when I look at this picture
Whether you dropped Ben or not is a media literacy test
Their the same person in my eyes
Ben finding out about the bear traps in the barn by overhearing a conversation while on watch but he notices that nobody ever mentions it to his face
Ben and Travis as water boy and invincible. Can you see the vision.
Ben Paul should’ve had a haunted look to him constantly. Not sad or anything but he stares straight ahead sometimes and you gotta snap him out of it occasionally. I just think he should be more visibly traumatized from surviving a massacre after months of torment and confusion.
This could’ve been Ben if the bandits didn’t preform pre-nuremberg trial levels of psychological warfare and torture immediately after the outbreak
Ben and Travis as water boy and invincible. Can you see the vision.
Ben Paul meets Will Byers from Stranger Things and they bond over being the most hated characters even though their important to the plot.
#cannon
I’ve never seen stranger things but they would also bond over having a gay lil hair cut
